New to Premier Cruising

Recommended Posts

We are booked on our first premier cruise and I was curious about the free drinks perk. This offer was for my husband and it says he will get free drinks while in the casino. I have read older posts that say I will also get the free drinks in the casino. Is that true? Since the posts are old I was not sure if that is still the case.

Years ago, I think there was a Premier Cfuise Line I think that was the 'home of the Big RED BOAT.. I could be very wrong but that is the only Premier that 'rings a bell with me. :)

Big Red Boat and Premer are gone. Premier failed after 9-11, if I remember correctly.

I also think that is where Rotterdam V went when she left HAL.

dOES anyone else have a 'like' notion?

Generally, if you have a casino offer cruise, it's only the gambler who gets the drinks while gambling. If you don't qualify for an offer on your own, you likely will not get free drinks while gambling.

None of that means anythng until they figure out on which ship, which cruise line they think they are sailing.

I HOPE they have not been 'duped' in some way but have no way to know.

I believe this is Carnival because "premiere" is what they call their casino players club. The club member gets free drinks while gambling.

OP, I do not know if that perk is extended to spouses while gambling. I suggest asking this question on the Carnival board. You'll likely get more readers there who are experienced with the program.

Is Premier your classification on Carnival? If so you will get a silver sign'nsail card, a free Carnival logo gift, priority boarding a tender but no free drinks except at the Premier & Diamond party where all the officers are introduced, top # of cruises passengers have and this is led by the cruise director. It usually starts at 5 pm.

Our Diamond card is white.

Yes. You and your husband will receive a free drink card for the casino only. It is for the first two guests. You will also get several other free perks throughout your cruise. I sailed a few Premier Cruises through Carnival. You will also get an invite to a welcome cocktail party for premier player and one guest only. Free drinks and finger foods! You should also receive chocolate covered strawberries, bottle of champagne, a box of home baked cookies and usually a larger gift at the end of the cruise. You also should receive casino cash but this is only for your husband ( he should give you half hehe). Hope this helps! When are you sailing and which ship? I'm on the Victory in a couple of weeks on the premier casino special.
