Port Day For Fee Dining Venues for Lunch

Hello All,

Am considering a Royal suite on the Summit over Thanksgiving for a milestone wedding anniversary. The itinerary has only 1 sea day. I know that on sea days may specialty restaurants are open for lunch. I was wondering if there are any for fee dining venues available on port days in the event we do not want to get off the ship. This question comes up because one of the "perks" of a Royal suite is the unlimited specialty dining. I'm thinking lunch here...would anything be open on a port day?

Thank you!

Specialty restaurants normally do not serve lunch on either a sea day or a port day.

On some cruises there might be one open for just one day, not an entire sailing, but its not a regular thing.

Check the daily each day to see if this is the case on your particular cruise.

We found the Porch to be open for Lunch even in Port. The Lawn Grill was open for Lunch on all of the sea days. The menu in the Porch is the same for Lunch and Dinner with the same surcharge. The menu in the Lawn Grill is different for Lunch with hamburgers and fish sandwiches. The salad bar is there for Lunch and Dinner. When we were in a RS last cruise we often went to the Porch and had their Lobster Bisque and seafood tower. They also have a hamburger if you don’t want seafood. If we wanted a simple, light dinner we would go to the Lawn Club for salad and flatbread. Flatbread is not available for Lunch.
