Coral Princess Deck Plan Questions

We have sailed on quite a few different Princes ships including the sister ship “Island” several years go but not the Coral.

I've looked at the floor plan online and have a couple questions. On the Island i recal there was the Coffee Bar but it appears they’ve shoehorned a IC into the casino on the Coral.

Is there a wall between the IC and the casino to keep the smoke from the casino out of the IC?

There doesn’t appear to be seating in this IC. Do coffee drinkers have to proceed to the small atrium to try to find a seat and sip?

Does the IC, though apparently smaller than others I’ve seen, still have the same amount of sandwich/sweet options as others?

Thanks

My husband and I had a wonderful cruise on the Coral this past April. We enjoyed an afternoon coffee each day. After getting our coffee and treats from the IC we walked a few short steps aft to an area across from the Explorers Lounge with cozy seating and windows to watch the waves go by.

We did the Panama Canal from FFL to LA over Thanksgiving. Love the Coral and her crew has been exceptional. We used the IC almost daily and did not find smoke odors a problem. Seating is slim though. We loved Crooner's and spent early evenings there to meet up with friends. Enjoy the Coral!

Excellent thanks. We won’t sail on her for quite a while but noticed the unusual IC configuration when booking a South America voyage with Antarctica in early 2020.

I have fond memories of the sister ship (Island) as it was our first Princess voyage. Since then we’ve done 11 more with a couple others planned next year. After having sailed on several other ships including the Majestic I hope we still find the Coral/Island as enjoyable as on that first one.

Coral and Island are no longer the same. Island was drastically changed. Universe Lounge is gone. The fitness center is now an interior (windowless) area. The entire aft portion of the ship was converted to cabins so the Promenade no longer goes all around - it's blocked where the cabins start. Even with making vast changes they didn't add IC to Island. We loved Coral but the next cruise after was on Island and we didn't care for it at all. It would be my last choice of Princess ships.

Gottago...

We sailed the Coral a couple of years ago.

Yes, there is a smaller IC, and we enjoyed the coffee and tea specialty drinks!

It is smaller, and the food offerings are more limited.

It is not fully and totally separated from the Casino. But, on our Alaska sailing, we did not see that this created a real problem at all. Yes, there is very limited designated space and seating. That was okay with us. But, not sure I would consider this a place to hang-out or 'chill'.

In fact, we had one of the OV cabins that were added along the one side of the ship, in their own hallway next to the Casino.

Since they were created from Public Space on this deck, they have a higher ceiling, and nice, larger, picture windows. Just like a regular balcony cabin, without the balcony door. We didn't notice any issues, and highly recommend!
