Thanks for that Terry. The Jetboat adventure is already booked along with a 4x4 trip through the mountains. It looks a lot of fun.

Great you are booked for that Jetboat adventure through the NZ rocky mountain canyons.  Let me know if you need more ideas and info, especially as to the Queenstown overnight option through Celebrity cruise.  More in Sydney, etc.??

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

The Jewish Buddha says:

•  If there is no self, whose arthritis is this?

•  Be here now.  Be someplace else later.  Is that so complicated?

•  Drink tea and nourish life:  with the first sip, joy; with the second sip, satisfaction; with the third sip, peace; with the fourth, a Danish.

•  Wherever you go, there you are.  Your luggage is another story.

•  Accept misfortune as a blessing.  Do not wish for perfect health, or a life without problems.  What would you talk about?

•  The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single Oy.

•  There is no escaping karma.  In a previous life, you never called, you never wrote, you never visited.  And whose fault was that?

•  Zen is not easy.  It takes effort to attain nothingness.  And then what do you have?  Bupkis.

•  The Tao does not speak.  The Tao does not blame.  The Tao does not take sides.  The Tao has no expectations.  The Tao demands nothing of others.  The Tao is not Jewish.

•  Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.  Forget this and attaining Enlightenment will be the least of your problems.

•  Let your mind be as a floating cloud.  Let your stillness be as a wooded glen.  And sit up straight.  You’ll never meet the Buddha with such rounded shoulders.

•  Deep inside you are ten thousand flowers.  Each flower blossoms ten thousand times.  Each blossom has ten thousand petals.  You might want to see a specialist.

•  Be aware of your body.  Be aware of your perceptions.  Keep in mind that not every physical sensation is a symptom of a terminal illness.

•  The Torah says, Love your neighbor as yourself.  The Buddha says, There is no self.  So … maybe we’re off the hook?

Wishing everyone in Hilary's path safety.........the flooding has started and it looks like the famous Santa Monica Pier is going to take a big hit.  And besides the floods, now it is showing an earthquake hit too☹️

Watching the pictures, there are folks trying to drive through the flooded highways........please stay inside. This is the first storm of this magnitude in California since 1939. These folks are definitely not used to this!

Our son and his family left Santa Monica yesterday to move back to Calgary.  They are currently in San Francisco.   Hopefully they will outrun the chaos!

Hi Mysty, wishing them all the best. Hope they all stay safe. I know what it is like to have flooding  but the folks out west are definitely not used to it.

The US National Hurricane Center's maps predict that San Fran will be safe from flooding:

An older couple were lying in bed one night. The husband was falling asleep but the wife felt romantic and wanted to talk.

She said, "You use to hold my hand when we were courting."

Wearily he reached across, held her hand for a second and tried to get back to sleep.

A few moments later she said, "Then you used to kiss me."

Mildly irritated, he reached across, gave her a peck on the cheek and settled down to sleep.

Thirty seconds later she said, "Then you use to bite my neck."

Angrily, he threw back the bed clothes and got out of bed.

"Where are you going ?" she asked.

"To get my teeth!"

OK, so I'm just boasting now, but what the heck?

Arrived on Laamu Atoll in the Maldives yesterday for a week at the Six Senses. I've got to say: this place is awesome. Overwater villa, half-board. Brilliant service, beautiful buildings, snow-white sand and azure water.

Granddaughter trying to look cool after bouncing around behind the speedboat. Then 2 random photos. Tts - please keep them coming.  I have spent just one blissful day snorkelling and lounging and eating and drinking at a  Maldives resort (from a very small cruise ship)  and it is certainly something to dream about and remember.  We are not (very) envious.

It’s been a Sunday. An earthquake, rain, and not as much wind as I expected. It is very wet out still. I live on the 17th floor of a high rise so wasn’t in a flood risk. Still a bit ominous outside. LAUSD canceled school today. all my plans are canceled. Looking forward to a day of cruise planning.😂😂 unless my friend needs me to watch her Pre-k daughter.

Excellent. And the waters are so clear and calm that even a reluctant swimmer like me feels at ease.

OH is part woman, part fish and has had a great time.
