yamaha dancer Posted July 10, 2019 #26 Share Posted July 10, 2019 1 hour ago, ReneeFLL said: Was that for a GS? Was there some sort of casino or other discount? Yes a GS. It was advertised as Canada Super Sale, no casino or other discounts. I converted what I paid in Canadian to US Dollars for the amounts I posted. This will be my 3rd Alaska cruise. I have never seen a price this low in all the years I have been cruising. Hope the cabin we end up in is better than what I paid for...

Brit-Cruiser Posted July 10, 2019 #29 Share Posted July 10, 2019 On the explorer in May, we paid £94 per person, per day for a Grand Suite. We started off with an inside cabin. The price kept dropping & we kept upgrading.

kingcole Posted July 10, 2019 #32 Share Posted July 10, 2019 $198 per day, based on 2 in a GS (HOS, August 18, 2019). That was helped by a £375 casino discount and came with $350 OBC ($200 from casino). I thought this was a crazy low price so am amazed at the other much lower prices I’m reading about. Billy Baltic Posted July 10, 2019 #33 Share Posted July 10, 2019 I amazed at these prices. What is the max occupancy of a GS?

Most hold 4, but there are some that have been converted from other types of suites that hold more. For example, two bedroom suites on the aft end of some ships hold 8. But, for this price inside is fine. Only hope to get a quiet cabin, other than that it doesn't matter to me. We use the cabin only for showering, dressing and things that require the bed... I had a balcony on my first cruise, which was an Alaska cruise, and paid in the area of $4000.00 for 7 nights. We didn't use the balcony much, as we spent most of our time outside of the cabin. Looking forward to spending the $3000.00 I saved, comparing this cruise to the first one. Both on Holland America.

livylotte Posted July 12, 2019 #47 Share Posted July 12, 2019 Not a GS but USD123 pp per night for a spacious balcony cabin on an Explorer 13 nights from Southampton in August 2019 which I think is a blinkin bargain and the cheapest cruise I've ever been on 😀
