How does one go about getting a personal travel consultant thru Princess? Would the price be the same as booking on line or just calling?

I have not seen any better prices through them versus the Princess website.

You would do far better with a good TA who can get you 8% to 12% off the cruise fare.

The only time I had a personal cruise consultant I found her to be totally useless. She seldom answered her extension, seldom responded to my voice mails. After a while if i needed something I used whomever answered the phone. Now & then they would mention the PCC to me. I would request they help me because I could never reach her. They were happy to help. I never use a TA but many do & really like them. My advice is get a TA or handle things yourself directly through Princess.

I love mine. Our whole family uses her (parents did, sister, me, son) Totally awesome (see latest deals in signature). FWIW: My Melbourne to New Zealand cruise showed 2698 online for solo in BD catergory, I'm paying 2098. Adjusted Santiago to LA to cut cost by $432. Not an insignificant amount, paying 1798 OC. Had to shift 1 week for last Octobers Circle Japan cruise but that way I got solo supplement 50% off.

Like any other TA -- some are totally worth it / others useless.

Tried getting information from 2 of them via email but just kept getting generic emails from them, not answering any of my questions! Finally got a 3rd one to actually answer my questions but she said she couldn't get anywhere near the price offered from TA or match the OBC. So I booked with TA.

My Princess Consultant is the absolute best!! She use to have her own travel agency and has traveled all over the world; a wealth of knowledge. My husband when he has a question just says "call Becky". Getting ready to book a 2020 British Isles Cruise when they come out, and she has already been helpful answering questions. I feel very lucky to have found her, and I tell her all the time that if I ever win the lottery I am taking her with us on a cruise!

Our Princess Consultant has been great. But you don't need to only use the one you have assigned. You can call and speak with any of them if you wish.

One thing I did find out compared to booking on line yourself through the Princess site...if prices changed or you want to make a change, it's a complete hassle...if you can even get it done. If you use the Princess Consultant, they are authorized to make any changes. Example: we originally booked a 7 day on the Sky in Dec 2019 with the Sip 'n Sail promotion. When the 3 for Free came out this September, she re-booked us from a balcony to a mini at $170 per person less (of course we also got the OBC and Included Grats)...if I had booked online myself, I would not have been able to make that change.

I have a lady who has called me twice saying that she is my Princess consultant and sending me a follow up e-mail. Unfortunately, when I've attempted to contact her the phone is not answered, there is no response to my voice mail or e-mail. Worthless. My TA gives me perks and answers my calls or e-mails.

I pretty much had the same experience. No discounting. When I called back to book another cruise they were no longer there. If I asked a new agent they would tell me they were gone or had been promoted. I went back to my on line agent and have not looked back. Far better and more reliable service with my on line TA.

Yes, my Becky has been able to help us so many times with promotions and re-booking us to better cabins. On our recent Baltic Cruise we started out in a regular mini, then moved to a CC cabin, and ended up finally in a front of the ship suite for just a little more than what we were going to pay for the original mini!

My PCC is awesome - she keeps an eye out for promos that might be helpful to me. She gets me an excellent casino fare on most cruises and even called me late on a Friday to tell me that a new promo would save me several hundreds of dollars over the original promo I had booked with. I probably would not have inquired on my own.

I certainly appreciate everyone’s reply. I did have a TA but again only available 3 or 4 days a week etc. I book anytime of the day or night usually on line. I do use casino rates if available.

I can always try it (and request Becky) and if it doesn’t work out, just go back to what I usually do.

Thanks again.

Do I just call Princess and ask for one?

Got a quote from my Princess personal travel consultant and my TA on a January 11, 2020, 14 day cruise on the new Sky Princess. Saved $$$ off our cabin pricing from my TA. For the total price, PrincessPC was well over $3400.00 and TA's was $3200.00. Always very receptive to my phone calls.

I use them on occasion but they are contacted through a different telephone #

Which I don’t have. You usually reach them by name or extension. I’m sure the regular Princess # would give it to you or transfer. The first question they ask is if you are working with TA which I don’t. If you do they say they can’t help you. Mike
