ms Volendam in Port Everglades October 19. 2018

Volendam will be at pier 26 (Port to) from 0530-1600.  She will be embarking on 15-day Panama Canal cruise to San Diego.  Volendam is the only cruise ship in port.

Let me mention that on Sunday our other sailawaymeister, Boytjie, will be sailing from Cape Liberty.  I hope to follow both the Nieuw Amsterdam and the Summit that day.

I have Baltimore Symphony tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'll make the Volendam or not.

I will look in on the Volendam tomorrow.  I will be happy to see those folks depart on their Panama Canal cruise.

However, I will be much, much happier watching them sail into San Diego and departing the ship.  That way, I will be able to board the Volendam for MY Panama Canal cruise.  😎😎

will watch your Sailaway from Island Prime across the bay and see The Volendam sail by! We live here and when HAL is in port we always enjoy having late lunch with cocktails and enjoy the view!

Well OK then!  If you see an older, balder guy on the Promenade Deck at the very aft of the ship, hoisting a glass in toast, that will be me.  

(I am staying at the Hilton on Harbor Island the night before).

you could walk over to Island Prime from there! It would be a great walk the night before and they have wonderful food.

They changed the color to black from the gray they were using. They did not change the size. It's still 15px high, unless someone manually overrides it when posting - like I just did, because I care.  Sadly, the font size selector is missing from a lot of people's posting toolbars.

 

This is something that CC can change. I've requested it, but I don't know if they'll get to it or not.

Looks like we have a cuople of yacht transporters loading or unloading - appears that is where the camera is staying for now.

Volendam is currently on the Fort Lauderdale SE camera.  I have some extra errands to run before the Symphony, so I'll miss this one.  Hope it's a great sailaway.

Thanks for the update,  Roy. I'm so used to that cam panning - I forgot it sometimes does fix on a ship - last season was wa-a-a-ay too long ago. I must get back in my FLL groove.
