propwash Posted October 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2018 If you book a cruise through a big box store, I guess you don't get extra credits for neptune suite I purchased 3 excursions before the cruise and 9 onboard and when I checked my status, I only had 12 days credit. Opinions before I call them. THANKS Danny
taxmantoo Posted October 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) Doesn't matter who you book through. Mariner day credits (stateroom, suite bonus and spending credits) are handed out by HAL and are the same for everyone. You should get credit for your suite but from what was posting it may not happen for a few weeks. The Mariner's society can give you the latest update - but yes, you are entitiled to the double day suite credit no matter who you book through. this thread is on the front page with the details and reports -

I do not think the fact you booked with a big box TA denied you doube days for the suite. I think it might go back to what category cabin you originally booked and specifically how you ended up in a neptune? If a Neptune was not the category cabin you originally booked. boulders Posted October 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 22, 2018 You should get credit for the Neptune suite then. They are having difficulties crediting additional Mariner days to people's accounts. Give it another month or so.
LMHSRN Posted October 27, 2018 #9 Share Posted October 27, 2018 It does not matter how you obtained a Neptune Suite, you get double points. I hate misinformation.

Krazy Kruizers Posted October 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 27, 2018 OP There have been several threads where people are wondering about getting the extra points from Neptune Suites, pre booked excursions, etc. A couple of people called HAL and HAL explained that they are behind in giving extra points due to problems with their new system. However: if you originally book a non-suite, and later initiate the upgrade yourself, paying a "published fare" (i.e. full price) for the suite, it's just as if you booked the suite originally, and you do get the double credits. Rare Hlitner Posted October 27, 2018 #13 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Yep, you need to fight for those credits (have no clue why). Someday you will reach 5 Star and get a lot of the same benefits anyone can buy with the new "Club Orange" that has been discussed on this board. And then there is the nice discount on wine packages (which should mean little to anyone spending the big bucks on Neptune Suites). or Perhaps there will be no more wine package discounts (also discussed on this board). I guess you will eventually qualify for free laundry....although I think you already get that in a Neptune. Just saying Hank

Yes, that is true. I was only addressing the incorrect statement that "it does not matter how you obtained a Neptune Suite, you will get double credits" and pointed out one instance how one would not get the double credits. One can only get double credits if one pays the published fare for a suite (any suite).

Not sure if it is the norm but fortunately for me I received double credits for both cruise. Edited October 27, 2018 by ss70chev

LMHSRN Posted November 1, 2018 #17 Share Posted November 1, 2018 You are correct. You also get them when you up-sell but not if you get an upgrade.

dee2673 Posted November 2, 2018 #19 Share Posted November 2, 2018 To the OP: we book our Neptune Suites through rhatbsame big box store and have always received the proper double suite credits. In addition, we have booked excursions and dining pre board and have always gotten that added to our onboard spending as well. If they haven’t given it to you, it’s not because of where you booked
knittinggirl Posted November 2, 2018 #20 Share Posted November 2, 2018 I heard from the Mariner Department a few days ago. They have a glitch regarding rewarding Suite and onboard points, and they don't have a eta for fixing it. The Mariner pages also isn't totaling our points. It still shows 94 days, despite the fact we received our Bronze Medallions on the last cruise.

freestyling Posted November 6, 2018 #23 Share Posted November 6, 2018 FYI - Back from a cruise 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for suite & spending credits. Was told yesterday by mariners dept that they are working on it and to give it 3 weeks.
