Yeah, probably too difficult unless you read about the history of cruise lines

May be incorrect in my memory, but Carnival's first ship, the Mardi Gras, had been a Canadian Pacific ship, the Empress of ???, and Mr. Arison chose to keep the same funnel colors for whatever reason.  (Maybe because it was cheaper than repainting the funnel since CCL was just beginning?)

I'm should have known that.  I think my first Transatlantic was actually a CP Marine ship, the Canmar courage (but definitely not a cruise ship).

Was lucky enough to be offered a ride in the one based down here (Carson, CA) a few years back, Great experience! Actually got to fly if for five minutes and didn't land it in the Pacific
