Hello.  New to the Royal Up...  Do the minimum bids get lower closer to the sailing date?  Sailing on Harmony in 40 days in a JS. The min bid pp for GS is $400, Owner's $800, Aqua 1 Bed $1100, $800 for Crown Loft.  Do these seem high?  Any info provided will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the bid price trends are not predictable.

On Oasis August 8 in one of the two aft Ultra Spacious Ocean View cabins.

Booked 3/22/18, final payment was in April.  Got my offer 5/25/19. Just put in my bid for a Crown Loft Suite a couple of days ago.

I know this is completely, 100% coincidence, but the ship had 1 CL suite available for weeks. It was available 5 minutes before I placed my bid because I checked.  5 minutes after I placed my bid, I went to check on the cabin number again and no CL suites were available. Still none available even using a different browser.  A girl can dream! Fingers crossed some family really, really wanted our cabin and bid a bunch for the family suite and they just have to move us out of it. 😋

Checked and all boxes are checked. Hmmm... I may need to change my email address? Rare to get offers from Royal.

Me too. I’m a long time royal customer and have tried and tried to fix this issue. I get emails but never marketing emails. It’s so frustrating because I miss out on a lot of sales. If you figure it out please let me know.

How many of you are in that cabin now?

Good luck

Thanks. I am expecting a rejection letter since our bid was not all that strong. Which is fine because I love the cabin we are in.

I just thought it was amusing that within 5 minutes after my bid, the available CL was booked by someone after sitting there for weeks, at least since the day I got my offer email. It made it look like my offer took the cabin.

Perhaps I should put in a strong offer for our family cabin from our boardwalk cabin as it is one of the choices on its offer email.

What I would really like to see evolve is being able to combine your cabins on a reservation to make an offer on one of the bigger suites. I would have loved to be able to have the chance to trade two cabins in for one of the 2 bedroom cabins on board.

So the same 3 grades of cabin for this weekend have been available for weeks now. Obviously no takers at the prices they want!!  Does the Upgrade Fairy 🧚‍♀️ still exist or has she permanently retired??

LOL.  They put her down eh!

So they will sail with those suites empty? They want £630pp for a GS for a 7n cruise (that is $800pp)

Maybe they will hold them for bingo prizes.😉

From what category to a GS??

We are in an aft balcony.

It is £200pp to go to the 2bed OVS with no balc

£240pp to go to a JS.

I guess the issue is the starting price point is too high (or everyone on board has short arms and deep pockets...)

I know that someone had posted that they did a max Royal Up bid for a GS on a May Anthem sailing. I don’t know if they got it but I was surprised when the casino did a drawing with prize being an immediate move to a GS cabin. I have not heard of this on any of the other ships.

I'm confused, I thought you already had the big family cabin

Still a few days left. No need to announce anything yet.

£200 pp doesn't seem high for that big cabin with suite benefits

We do. We also have a boardwalk cabin.  The boardwalk cabin is eligible to bid on the family cabin. I was half-joking about putting a strong bid in for the family cabin from the boardwalk in case it would give us a better chance of RCCL accepting our bid to the CL.  Very convoluted thinking  on my part.

I like the progression, that way you can leave the kids back in the FOV and have the CLS to yourselves

Actually on our May 5th. 2019 Allure I was in the casino and they called names (You got an entry for every 50 slot points), they raffled off an aqua suite on day 3.   It was advertised every day prior and you had to be there to claim prize. They were told they could relocate on Wednesday, so they got it for half the cruise.

That was the first I actually witnessed.

I do not know what kind of cabin the family was originally in, or how much $$$$$$ he spent on machines.

Safe travels.
