FLL 10:50 flight?

We are familiar with FLL and would have no concern about making a 10:50 flight if we were on RCI, as we get escorted debarkation along with suites. However, we have not yet debarked in Port Everglades as Elite on X. So we plan to carry off our luggage if we book this 10:50 AM flight. Is this a reasonable flight time with carry off, please?

Yes, I've done walk off and you are there in plenty of time.  Yesterday, I got off of the Edge and did a regular disembark as my flight was not until later, and I still got to FLL by 9 AM.

Plus with the Edge they are doing facial recognition so you don't even have to show your passport. Only those declaring something went to a separate line and if the facial recognition did not recognize you, then you had to show your passport.  Piece of cake!

If you plan on carrying your luggage off, barring any huge delay in debarkation, you should be fine.   We had a very delayed debarkation last year and made an 11:45 flight, but that was because we didn't choose the walk off.  If we did, we'd have definitely made that 10:50 flight even though we were very late getting off the ship.

I believe that was about non-US and after a TA. If I am wrong, please advise.

Not sure if it was TA, but I believe you are correct about non US. It would just be something that would raise concern with me. Was just passing along the info.

It was not after a TA crossing, it occurred Dec 7, if I were you I would read the comments before you decide on a 10:30 flight.

We had booked a 10:20am flight out of FLL upon our return from a cruise we are taking in March. It was either that flight or hanging around all day till 5pm and taking a flight with stopovers that would put us home at 11pm.

With much hesitation I booked the morning flight but it just didn’t sit well with me.  The slightest delay could really screw us and I knew it would cause me some anxiety worrying about making it off the ship and getting to the airport on time.  We are staying in the PH and people told me that the MC concierge would do their best to get us off the ship as quickly as possible, but I knew I would be fretting and nervous as our cruise would be getting closer to the end.

I then found a 3pm non-stop flight out of West Palm Beach that will have us home by 5:30.  I booked a car service to meet us at the port and take us to WP.  It was a great relieve to be able to switch flights and now I know I can relax and throughly enjoy my vacation.

In almost all cases, you should make the flight.  There is a small chance you won't, even with walk-off.  Just disembarked Infinity in FLL.  We have Global Entry, so we were able to skip the normal lines which I would estimate were about 30 minutes long.  Caught a taxi with no wait.  There were many people apparently waiting around for Uber and Lift - I usually recommend them but for expediency sake you might do better with a taxi.   At the airport we had TSA pre-check which also saved us at least 15-20 minutes I would estimate.

One of my pet peeves now, though, is that anyone can do walk-off without proving they have an early flight or anything.  That means many, many, many people are clogging up the elevators and making the initial walk-off lines miles long.  Wish people would have some consideration for others who really need that early disembarkation and hold back a little while.  But these are likely the same folks saving deck chairs for hours and hours of no use because they feel entitled.  Can't regulate consideration I guess.
