Rare Vict0riann Posted January 22, 2019 #31 Share Posted January 22, 2019 I'm not sure if I will be here for sail away, but I'll try - if CC behaves! Jacqui, how is the situation at your house? Seems like you still have power, but the reports are pretty bad.

Seems like you still have power, but the reports are pretty bad. Hi Ann, We only lost power for a bit, fortunately. But everything is covered in ice here. Cars in driveway had to have the ice chopped out as they were stuck. Took me an hour to free our garage door and quite a while to free our garbage bin. Driveway and roads are all dangerous. We had a pile of freeezing rain and rain after the snow and then plunged back into our deep freeze. Schools are still closed today due to the hazardous conditions. Worked on the driveway most of yesterday and it’s still too slippery. We need it to warm up. It’s too cold for salt to work and even too cold for my Arctic ice melt. Rare Vict0riann Posted January 22, 2019 #34 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Jacqui, I can empathize with the weather conditions, we had many ice storms when we lived in the Washington, D.C., area. So happy now that all we (usually) have to worry about is rain! Have a wonderful World Cruise, Peggy Tuten!
Rare ski ww Posted January 22, 2019 #35 Share Posted January 22, 2019 We could use some of the snow you guys are getting, our ski hills could use it. Lots of cold -20C but little snow compared to a normal winter. Hope to be here for sail away.

Lots of Northern Europe and Ireland near the end. I haven't seen this before. Bon Voyage to all the lucky World Cruisers. Amsterdam is a great ship. Yeah; the big difference this year is that after coming out of the Med for the crossing back to Ft. Lauderdale, instead she makes a right turn and does several ports in Western Europe incl. Amsterdam. Awesome itinerary!
Mtn2Sea Posted January 22, 2019 #38 Share Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) Muster drill has been completed and was pretty effortless compared to some. Still waiting for four large suitcases to be delivered - don’t know where all of our stuff is going! Edited January 22, 2019 by Mtn2Sea

I probably won't see her leave since it will be 11PM my time and I'm still recovering from looking for the eclipse. Roy
