There will be a lot of ports missing as they just can't get to some of the ones Prinsendam did or, if they do, you'll be travelling for an hour.

 

Bantry - Prinsendam was the first ship to actually visit the little bay in 30 years a couple of years ago.  Other ships do go but they have to anchor at this huge industrial spot which is a good hour away.

 

I don't think either the Rotterdam nor the Volendam can go down the Kiel Canal nor the rivers we will be doing in the Spring.  

 

so while they might be "picking up" some of the itineraries - it's not going to be the same IMO.

 

Prinsendam had about 130 ports that the other ships couldn't do.  Those are now lost as far as itineraries go, sadly.  

 

The standard ones can certainly be done 😉

I don't blame you one bit.  I do like the Rotterdam but the itinerary was NOT the same.

 

Glad I booked when I did and lucked out that it was pre-transfer time.

The gent in the center with the chain is the Mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, a Moroccan immigrant. Not sure about the gent on the left

Captain Albert.  Last I talked with him personally, he claimed the record of sailings for Tampa.  Will have to ask him if he thinks HAL has given up on Tampa or if they are coming back.

In the past, HAL has given up on former seasonal homeports of New York City, Norfolk, Port Canaveral and Nawlins so we will see
