Posted this topic yesterday, but notice request not listed in the Princess board.  Can anyone provide the link where I would find the form for transferring my booking to another travel agent?

Thanks

You have to contact Princess and request the form.  I don't believe they have it posted on your sight.  They may accept an email from you stating who and why you wish to transfer.  There shouldn't be a problem.  If you are simply transferring to a different agent within the same agency, you don't need to make an official transfer with the cruise line.

Do you have a Travel Agent already outside of Princess?  and you already have a booking with Princess?  if you do then you can send a e-mail to Princess with all of your info about your cruise.  Booking#  Voyage# your membership# if you have one and the name of your Travel Agent and there phone# and your agents name if you know it.  In the e-mail also tell Princess you would like to transfer your booking to them.  E-mail all of this to revenue support department at Princesscruises.com 😉

Since October 2018 they require a form filled out and emailed to the revenue department. Transfer information without their form now gets rejected..

Transfering to "another" TA ??????

Original TA must release your booking . Fat chance .

If  TA is not servicing your booking properly , the cruise line could take over the booking .

Then you could transfer to another TA (if not beyond final).

Because you are getting a better deal from another TA is not a valid reason for the cruise line to take the booking away.

There is no problem transferring from one TA to another. As far as "releasing" the booking I spoke with a Princess rep who said she has been with them for more than 20 years and has never had an issue with a TA not releasing a booking. Transfer it to Princess first and then to another TA of your choice.

Please note that the new for must be signed for them to accept it for transfer. I filled mine out on the computer, printed them, scanned them, and then submitted the signed forms. I had to do 3 cruises all at once as they had just implemented the new transfer cutoff and had a grace period for previously booked cruises that ended December 31, 2018. I really needed to transfer the cruises because my TA gives me a discount off the price.

Transferring from one TA to another - oh yea, there can be problems! I know of several people whose TA would not release the booking.

Mind boggling. Hopefully they dumped the TA and never booked with that agency again. Thanks for letting me know of my error. (I was just repeating what the Princess rep had told me.)

There are some mean ones out there. Often they will "cancel but not release" but if they cancel, the client loses perks and pricing. I know these people will never use these agents again. The sad thing is that when this happens, the travel agents name gets out there and they are only hurting themselves.

Thank to everyone for the information on transferring our booking.  On our last couple of cruises we have booked direct over phone with Princess and then transferred shortly thereafter to our local TA once we are sure our 'casino discount and credits' are applied and we get the cabin we want.  The previous transfers were made via a letter emailed to Princess with no difficulty, but we were aware of the transfer form instituted by Princess late in 2018 and thought that was the procedure we had to follow to transfer our current booking.  That is why we asked for the link to access the form.  We will fill out the PDF fillable form, sign, scan and email to Princess.

We were wondering about not using a TA this time.  We use the Cruise Personalizer when we can for booking our own air and checking periodically for fare reductions, excursions, etc.  We don't get any extra OBC from our local TA, but always feel it is worthwhile to support our local economy and businesses rather than the PVP in California.

We appreciate all the feedback.  Thank you.
