justjill1 Posted August 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2019 58 minutes ago 1 post Report post #1 Posted 5 minutes ago We tend to wake up early. 4-5am. In past have had no luck finding a fresh brew, if any coffee at all. Seemed like a miracle when we found a table with a coffee pot on a side deck last cruise maybe 3 years ago. Will be on RC Brilliance in 2019. Will be on level 8 so no perks. Only platinum status. Can anyone find us fresh coffee in early am? Any suggestions for that fresh brew? spookwife Posted August 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Room service. Or, sail in a JS or higher that has a coffee pot in the cabin

Ken at the beach Posted August 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Coffee station outside WJ open 24 hours. No guarantees on how fresh.
spookwife Posted August 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2019 you can leave the room service card on your door the night before with your preferred time. the Windjammer coffee will be old if they are not down for service at that hour.
Bee Guy Posted August 16, 2019 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2019 We have had varying degrees of success with the coffee outside the windjammer.

papaflamingo Posted August 16, 2019 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Have you considered a small cup size water heater? I used to travel in my job and would take one in my suitcase. I bought the Starbucks VIA instant coffee and it is actually not too bad. I know it's not ideal, but beats wandering the ship only to find no coffee or hours old coffee. Not sure if one of these would be banned or not. https://www.amazon.com/Instant-Immersion-Electric-Portable-Reheater/dp/B01M0Q84BR/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3NZW6RXI2DQX2&keywords=cup+size+water+heater&qid=1565954417&s=gateway&sprefix=cup+size+water+%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-

There was usually coffee available, but it was sometimes old and occasionally not hot. I do not recall if it varied by ship.

You can bring a French press, but nothing that plugs in. you can also request a coffee pot or kettle but that would depend on a few factors whether the cabin attendant will/can provide one
bouhunter Posted August 16, 2019 #11 Share Posted August 16, 2019 At 4:00AM any coffee you might find will likely be pretty nasty and old. Good luck.

I_r_a Posted August 16, 2019 #14 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Hi J, Might you be able to bring your own instant coffee and use the hot water from the windjammer Cafe or other venue? Ira
gerif Posted August 16, 2019 #15 Share Posted August 16, 2019 They also sell coffee bags like tea bags. You just need hot water.
Rare graphicguy Posted August 16, 2019 #16 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Try these.... https://athome.starbucks.com/coffees-by-format/starbucks-via-instant/ Worlds better than any other instant or the old, usually scorched coffee you’ll probably find at one of the coffee urns. Actually, I think it’s better than some of the stuff I’ve tried in any of the buffets on board at peak times. Cruise coffee in those big urns just isn’t that good, regardless of the time of day. Rare LINDAE3213 Posted August 16, 2019 #17 Share Posted August 16, 2019 the folgers coffee singles are not bad -- I have used them in the past -- all you need is the hot water
