World Cafe smell

The first thing I noticed was the smell.  It was a combination of a thousand different foods.  It wasn't a good smell.  I think it's become less obvious after sitting there for a few minutes.

Not sure what you would expect to smell in a buffet that has a wide selection of food and cook to order stations?

We frequent the WC because of the wide selection of food. If the smell is an issue for you, get your food and dine al fresco.

Maybe it's the jetlag and the long plane ride messing up your smeller.  Give it time.

All kidding aside, I suggest eating at the Pool if this continues to be an issue.  Often the roof is open and they have "surprise" dinners there.

Never once noticed an off putting smell from the World Cafe and we had every breakfast and most dinners from there.  We ate lunch at the pool grill.   It surprises me that there is a whole post dedicated to something so trivial.

I don't consider myself sensitive to smells, but I noticed it anyway.  Other people may care.

 

Obviously, if you find my posts trivial, I suggest you ignore them.

Others are more adult than me but really now, it will be hard to ignore all of your "thoughts" during what I'm sure will be a mostly positive cruise.

Hope you enjoy the cruise. Minor point though - when at sea, meals are cooked in the galley. No kitchens aboard a ship.😀

Traveled for many months on Viking Sun, ate almost every single day in World Cafe, for all meals, quite particular about most things ,but NEVER any hint of anything unpleasant . Should this be unsuitable, there are many easy options.Being grateful for what is in each day, on the Planet may help.!
