How early do they let you in?  I know in the past that passengers would be  lined up outside as the doors weren’t open until 10:30 at the earliest and then we had to wait  until 11:30 or later before they would let us on board.

We will be in a suite and on our pass it gives us a “assigned time “ of 12:30 to 1.

Don’t know what time Luminae closes but you can bet the house that I will be there before the assigned time.

On the Edge Inaugural we arrived around 9:45 AM because we could see from our hotel windows that a storm was about to hit. The agents at the T25 lounge took us in right away. Shortly after it began to rain buckets with gusty winds. We were lucky as suite guests arriving later were drenched while dropping off their luggage before entering the Terminal.

You will definitely be on board before Luminae closes. But be prepared, there may be a line out the door for guests trying to get a table.

I agree - get there when convenient for you. That assigned time doesn’t mean us 😉- we go at 1030-1045 and find it less crowded than going at a later assigned time (per others who boarded at those times).

i agree with C-Dragons - Luminae  gets busy fast. We were able to get a window seat last time- lovely way to start.

Exactly.  We are in a suite and they tell us to get there at 12:30 or later.   No thanks.  We will be there a lot earlier.

The first time we were in a suite was last year on the Eclipse.  We got to the terminal and no one said anything about any special line for suite guests.  It was very busy and crowded.  I mentioned to a employee that we are in a suite and she just  gave us a so what look. Knowing what we knew from past cruises we were finally able to make it to the suite line.  It didn’t get any better.

If there was a special lounge we weren’t informed but we were able to board as soon as we checked in.   Getting on board no one greeted us as being suite guests and we were told that the buffet was open.  I knew that we had access to Micheal’s so we proceeded that way and had a hard time getting past the employees that kept trying to stop us to put us on the elevator to go to the buffet.

We made it to Michaels and the place was SRO.   We walked in and no one asked if we were suite guests.  We stood around and finally a server came to us and asked if we wanted anything to drink.  I asked for a Old Fashion.  Wife wanted a bourbon and ginger ale. .   After a long period of time the server found us and said that they couldn’t make either one as they didn’t have what was needed.  She asked if she could get us something else.   I asked for a beer and wife a glass of wine. We waited and then left as Luminae was open.

It wasnt crowded and never did fill up.   We could have had a window table but the sun was shining on all the tables and we asked for one further away from the windows.

Disembarking was a bigger joke.  We were told to meet in Michael’s to be escorted off the ship.  We walked past the gangway to get there and no one was in line.  We could have walked off.  We proceeded to Michael’s and there were a few passengers waiting around the desk.  About 15 minute later the host showed up and led us to the gangway.  There was now a line and we were at the end of it.  We coUld  have walked off the ship about 20 minutes earlier, and  now we had to wait in a line besides.    Very disappointed with the process.  She was a very poor host

We sailed again in a suite on the Infinity and it was a totally different experience and was what it should have been.  I am sure it had to do with the host.

It is still advisable to know what the process is and get all the info before sailing so you get what you paid for.

Thanks for all the photos and info.

Thanks for all  your replies and pictures.  Very informative, especially about the separate entrance for suite guests.   Our flight arrives at FLL at 9:20 on the morning of the cruise so I guess we'll probably get to use that great looking lounge (weather permitting of course as we are flying in from Canada in Dec.)

I envy your courage, flying in from Toronto during the winter on the day of embarkation. :classic_biggrin:

Well you know what they say "If you are not living on the edge you are taking up too much room"

Come talk to me after we miss our ship and see how many smart ass quotes I have then.😎

We were doing a back to back with another ship and got to terminal 25 for Edge around 9:30 AM.  We went right up to the suite waiting lounge at that time.

Thanks.

If if I am reading this right there is a separate entrance at the terminal for suite guests.  The entrance isn’t the same one that the other passengers use to  enter into the terminal.
