Pictures taken between Monday, October 21 and Sunday, October 27.

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

It was a horse racing course.

Apparently takes over for military in WWII but never re-opened. Now has some of the base of old grand Stand and other bits of concrete work.

Area is now part of a coastal park.

Lots of snakes as well as birds.

Thank you for the explanation.

I guess the cold and flu season is right around the corner and precautions are already being taken.  Seeing a hand sanitizer isn't unusual but the free face mask is something I've never encountered before.

You are right -- I have seen lots of hand sanitizers but never never free face masks.

Busy week at work with afternoons taken up by the latest household construction project. Friday came around and we decided a mental health break was in order and went out to dinner with friends. I know what you're thinking, but this week's photo wasn't dinner. It was the pleasant beer by the name of Über Affengeil Hazy IPA that we enjoyed while waiting for the nice people in the taco truck to prepare actual dinner. This once-obscure industrial complex near the local airport has sprouted a craft brewery, a distillery with a speakeasy, a craft ciderhouse, a reputation for awesome mobile catering and a growing need for more parking. Good doesn’t need to be fancy.

I so agree with you Dave, enjoy the simple things in life, family, great grand kids, good friends, good food, a nice glass of wine, a fine single malt Scotch and a nice glass of Port after that great meal.
