Why are reviews now posted here

Not sure I understand why reviews are now being posted here.  I appreciate the info but thought there was an area for reviews.

Folks just like to give their reviews wider exposure, so they sometimes also Post them on the General Board for the Cruise Line which owns the ship which they are reviewing.

 

This is less annoying on lines which have fewer ships.🤐

I prefer them posted here as I rarely check the review section of this site. I find it poorly designed and burdensome to use.

Also there is no feedback from the reviews on the review page and I like to read the discussions!

I find the reviews posted here are so much more comprehensive and I enjoy them more.

Same here - I rarely read the review section on cruise critic but frequently read reviews posted on this forum.

Additionally, I would encourage folks, especially experienced folks,  to also post in the review section, otherwise it could become diluted.

Lots of good points made here...

Each section has its advantages...here for more feedback, and ongoing discussions.

The review section to see in one place one review after another on the same ship, by different points of view, and over a period of time.

 

One perk Cruise Critic's gives you, if you post one of those formal reviews, is a substantial discount on CC logo merchandise...
