Booking A Carnival Guarantee Room???

Cruise Critic family good afternoon. I keep receiving these last minute deals that are pretty descent. The issue is the best cabin prices are associated with Inside IS Guarantee Cabins. I am sort of apprehensive to book this type of offer. Would you guys mind sharing your experiences with Guarantee Bookings?

These cruises are based here in Florida and are actually leaving in about two weeks.

Thanks

Downside, you will be assigned a cabin no one else chose to book  (or rarely a last minute cancellation).  Do a mock booking to see what sorts of cabins are still available and where they are located.  If you would be happy with the worst, including an upper/lower bedding arrangement, go for it.

Upside, you will be on the ship.

Occasionally we hear reports of people lucking out and getting an incredibly desirable cabin.  Luck of the draw.

Happy sailing.

If you can cruise take the deal. There are no bad cabins on the ship! Good luck!

Ha     We have taken a guarantee ONCE and will not do that again.      There are quite a few cabins in very noisy areas-   (outside of the casino bar--   on top of a speak above the show lounge.  Under the pot scrubber in the galley.   Disco.     Piano bar  cabins located by the room service areas on certain decks

etc etc

On Carnival, we book an Oceanview Gty all the time if we choose that room type and the price is right.  Invariably end up on Riviera deck.  All good.  Likely wouldn't for a Balc or an Inside as some locations can be poor.

But was it a deal? I could deal with noise for a great deal.
