Boarding times

To some extent this may depend on the cruise line and/or the previous sailing. For example, a ship that has docked after a repositioning cruise may have a mandatory inspection before boarding can begin for the next cruise. All else being equal, boarding may begin as early as 11 am. All aboard may be 60-90 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Your check in docs should give you this information.

The all aboard time for port visits is usually 30 min before departure. DONT leave it that late!

What’s the typical time to board on the sail date and from ports?  If the cruise leaves port Everglades at 5pm when can you board?   Also how early must you board before the advertised depart time of a stop?

Agree with others. Typically with Celebrity between 11:00 AM and Noon at PE. But sometimes...just sayin'. Something you'll need to keep in mind is when you do your online check in (90 days prior to your sail date) you will be asked to select a time for checking in at the PE terminal. The times offered may not be to your liking. No biggie. Just check the earliest time available. That selected time will be printed on your Express Pass. However you will not be held to that time. It's only a suggestion. Once the terminal doors are opened you can enter and complete the check in process. If boarding hasn't already started you will be ushered to a waiting area depending on your Celebrity Captains Club tier level. If boarding has started, head for the sign that says, "to ship". Since you are cruising on the Equinox, the Equinox went thru a dry dock (revolution) earlier in 2019. All the Celebrity ships that have been thru the revolution upgrade now put your Sea Pass cards on your door to your stateroom instead of issuing them to you during the check in at the terminal. Once you board the ship (using your Express Pass) and if it's before 1:00 PM you are allowed to go to your stateroom to retrieve your Sea Pass cards and drop off any carry on luggage. You are requested to leave your stateroom after that and not return until the 1:00 PM announcement has been made that all staterooms are now ready. Enjoy your first Celebrity cruise.

Hmmm, where did OP state they were on Celebrity?

🙂

One of their posts indicates they have booked on Celebrity. But I understand, we should not have to research the poster to figure out what they are asking about. I clear question, with the relevant facts, would be appropriate.

This ENTIRELY depends on your cruise.  Even within cruise lines the times can vary wildly.

You should post this on the forum specific to your line, and mention the cruise date and ship.
