Photofinish4 Posted January 14, 2020 #26 Share Posted January 14, 2020 I wear black rubber sandals that have thick soles and rhinestones on the strap and have never had a problem with them.

To me, flip flops are the cheap, rubber shoes you wear to the beach. My thong sandals have a heel and are made of wood , leather, and sparkles! Can I wear them?

Would they be considered flip flops? 1. Flip flops have soles that are loosely held by a Y-shaped strap while sandals have soles that are firmly held by thongs or straps. 2. Flip flops are usually flat-soled while sandals are either flat or fashioned with heels. Hope this helps.

nini Posted January 14, 2020 #32 Share Posted January 14, 2020 Those are really cute! I am shoe challenged due to wearing a 4.5 in women's. It is a pain. I also guess that bottom line for formal nights is who the gatekeepers are at the Dining Room.
Ombud Posted January 14, 2020 #33 Share Posted January 14, 2020 CynCyn I think you're overthinking this. In Japan 2017 it was all sequins and velvet 5" heels. But in all other locations it wasn't nearly that decked out. Your sandals are more than fine and you'll find people a lot less dressed up
