Cost of Excursions

Does anybody know if the cost of excursions is more expensive once you're on board - assuming you're not buying during a sale?

They seemed to cost more onboard when we were on last year.

They were much higher on board. I usually pre purchase if I’m doing thru ship.  Easy enough to cxl n rebook if it’s lower

They have run sales frequently and will reduce price if you already have booked and pre paid.

 

I do not know if you can pre pay with OBC???

We only occasionally book ship's excursions, usually do private tours.  However, I seem to remember that if you book prior to boarding that you can get cheaper prices.

I don't usually book excursions via celebrity, but the one I'm looking at the price is only slightly more and transportation will be a bus an hour if I don't take it.  My on board credit doesn't arrive until I'm on board!

Higher on board.  We used to book all excursions through the cruise line but then discovered the ROLL CALL and got SO many amazing tips, and got groups together for private tours, shared rides, etc.  It's the BEST!  Definitely try there and ask questions about tours, etc.  Hopefully you get as great info as I did.  Happy sailing.

We booked one online and it was less onboard in December. They refunded the difference.
