I have just looked, hardly any difference for me with Princess plus surprisingly

Looking at the Princess thread, most prices seem to have gone up, but that is for the US market.

Glad you got a good deal.  I'm going to try not to look at prices 6 weeks prior to sailing !

You must have a NutriBullit like us !

Never use it,  but can't bring it upon ourselves to throw it away.

Most people keep them stored next to the Breville sandwich toaster ,another non everyday device we all thought we needed.

A bit like my alarm clock , morning everyone 😊

Partly cloudy and 16c here in South Cheshire.

We're walking into Nantwich today to go to the Nantwich Food Festival, around 170 interesting and specialist food and drink stalls. It's the first time that it's been on for 3 years but is well worth a visit. Several 'famous' chef demonstrations as well. It's on all weekend.

It's interesting to read about the use of dry air fryers / Ninja type way of cooking, I'll look into it further as there are only normally the 2 of us to cook for and I didn't realise that they were so versatile. I thought that they were just a more healthy way to fry things. I can't get my mind around how you could do for example a roast chicken lunch with veg, roasties etc....in one device. Having said that veg steamed on a gas hob for 10 mins or so costs are not much.

I have just taken a look at the Princess cruise that we have booked for June next year and it is £300 each more for the same grade of cabin than we paid, I suppose it depends on how well the cruise is selling.  When we booked the deal was £2 deposit so we booked basically to reserve the cabin that we want but thinking that if prices dropped nearer to sailing we could afford to lose the £2 to get the lower price.

Also been very interested in this topic.  Like you there are only two of us and I have been wondering how it's possible to cook different items at the same time - but a friend tells me that you can get fryers with two compartments which I think may suit me better.  She swears by air fryers too. (It's a Ninja)

I'll be interested to hear comments on any advantages of separate trays/compartments from those who have experience of using fryers with or without this feature.

Morning everyone, it’s a nice day here today and forecast 23 degrees later today.

I was up early today and hubby had to be in hospital at 7am for a day case procedure, I expect I will be collecting him about teatime.

I am on dog walking duties for next few days so they won’t be getting beach walks I’m afraid. They dogs are sulking at the moment because Richard is not here.

Going to the gym soon as part of my lose a bit of weight and get fit program.

Have a nice day everyone

Decision day air fryer/multi cooker or a new kettle.

Both, just make sure they match.

I don't know whether I am odd but I don't in an air fryer and my only experience of food cooked in one didn't make me want to rush out and buy one.  My sister has one and swears by it but when I had some chips that she had cooked in it I wasn't impressed with them.   I rarely fry food so I am sure that I can live without one.  I have a kitchen full of gadgets some of which rarely see the light of day so I'll pass on this one.

Some people in the pub had toasties. I said to DW, we could get one of those to make some at home. She told me there was a sandwich maker at the back of the cupboard. We tried to flog it at a car boot sale about 20 years ago....nobody wanted it.

Ps. Predictive thought I wanted to say Naked goo,...not make some..silly machine.

A friend of mine swears by his remoska. Why didn’t you replace it?

At the time it was cost - £150 v. £30 or thereabouts. However, I prefer the halogen oven as there are temperature controls and a timer, so it switches itself off when done. It also has an air-fryer type attachment that sits on top.

Morning everyone, hope you're all well.

A nice sunny day down here, but set to change tomorrow.

My son bought as an air fryer when our deep fat fryer broke, but I don't get on with it and have given it away. I was looking at a multi cooker a while back but was undecided, so didn't do anything about it.

Thank you for the explanation.  My friend had mentioned many times that I should get a Ramoska.  I’ll now take a look at halogen ovens 👍.

Lakeland are selling churro makers.while I like churros I don’t think I would give cupboard space to a machine to make them.

I have some gadgets that get almost daily use and a few that are reserved for a few times a year.

Our favourite Friday lunch has been hit by a 25% price increase but still excellent value20220902_122734.thumb.jpg.6a5f27c01938821283ab9eff985f331a.jpg20220902_124414.thumb.jpg.e74579d6cf4668c732c35b8e56789ef8.jpg

Working on the basis that fish and chips from the chippy is never sold with a side salad, rather than increasing prices, remove the superfluous greenery. Or is it so you can say you had a healthy salad for lunch without mentioning it was a fish and chip salad? 🥴

If that fish and chips meal was £25 for two, then it was not overpriced, certainly for round here, where in a pub they are usually £11 to £13 per person.

We would usually have to pay more around here too but this particular restaurant has what it calls " Fish Friday " and you get 2 fish and chip meals and 2 glasses of wine or J2O for £25 which is still a bargain.  It was £20 until last week  and was very popular but this week it was very quiet.  We are waiting to see what it is like next week because we can't  decide whether it was quiet because people are away as it is a Bank Holiday week or if they have decided that they don't want to pay the extra £5.

We will continue to go there as it such good value and only 2.5 miles from our house.

Those of us who like going to pubs occasionally - in my case just for lunch with friends - should try to keep it up; many of them are really going to suffer with their huge new bills and the fact that some people will feel unable to visit them as prices rocket up.
