Thankyou for all your well wishes Prostate removed Monday 3 hrs opp was back on ward for 2.30pm  and they sent  me home next day so in all 36 hrs so today sat in the sunshine recuperating .Everything went well just have to wait for psa to be checked in 4 to 6 weeks all by our own nhs .We are so lucky to have them .

Good luck binman,I had a blood test including prostrate last week. All came back OK.It's always at the back of my mind to get it tested but a lot easier now with a simple blood test.Cheers,Brian.

There are a couple of online TAs that combine a cruise with a landtour inc the bullet train,Mount Fuji and the Blossoms.Worth a look at,good luck,Brian.

We've been looking at exactly that sort of thing.  There were some decent deals for 2024 recently with Princess where it was only £25pppd to upgrade to Princess Plus. A repositioning cruise seems good, if available two years in the future. 🤞

My turn now!!!!  Two leg stents tomorrow, one small one a bit complicated.   I was ok till I found out they can take hours.  I thought it would be minutes like the heart stent.  Was also hoping not to have full anaesthetic, but no luck there.  Have to travel to London, they wont do it locally.

All this was a complete surprise while they were investigating my walking after the accident, which had lately got worse.  Once healed from this I can have intensive physio and hydrotherapy away from home, so I focus and hopefully that will help my walking.

So see you in a few days hopefully.... Behave while I'm gone.

Glad to hear it all went well  and hope you are soon back cruising. I am due my annual review in a few weeks and I get a bit twitchy, last time the PSA had only increased by 0.15 and it is stage 1 so they have adopted a watch and wait.

We are indeed binman -  usually only really appreciated when we truly need them. I'm so glad to hear that your op went well. Fingers crossed for your next psa and in the meanwhile recover well and enjoy the sun. Best wishes. Jane xx

Best of luck for tomorrow Indiana. A long operation is much better under a GA. Do let us know how it goes and we'll all try to behave -  some chance! Best wishes. Jane xx

My experience of a GA was interesting. In the room before the theatre the nurse asked me how I was feeling, OK says I. Then she asked me again and I said you have just asked me that. Oh no I havn't she said, it was over an hour ago. 😲

Been a busy day for me today, made 40 spainish croquettes for a tapas party on Saturday which was a bit of a pain , thought they were going to be easy making jamon Serrano ham ones and chorizo ones , then I made a meal for someone who’s I’ll in our congregation, we all take turns and today was me , so my husband has decided to take me out to dinner tonight to a new Turkish restaurant so probably food porn later , on Friday I’m going to make a lime cheese cake and Saturday stuffed padron peppers and breaded deep fried cheese, and I’m thinking I’m going to put all this weight on just over a stone for my cruise before next week 🥴 oh well blow out tonight and back on it Thursday & Friday, relax for weekend and back on it Monday 😉

Probably a bit of apprehension for tomorrow, but looked in the cupboard and freezer tonight and fancied absolutely nothing!!!

I could manage fish and chips, and hinted a couple of times but it didn't work.  He has now tucked into a posh ready meal from M and S and I'm still hungry🤣😊🤣

Don't forget to not eat after a certain time!  Best of luck; it all seems hard in advance, and then when you come round you think 'not so bad after all'.   And a better future when everything has settled.

Well I’m back from my evening out which was lovely apart from husband spilling my free cocktail over my phone and me , it was a strawberry daiquiri so now all sticky but in compensation I got another 2 cocktails because it was buy one get one free so bonus to me , dinner was lovely but starters alone would of been enough for us after our diets for the last 3 weeks our stomachs have shrunk but a lovely meal nonetheless Im another year older so  very good night .😍

Well I’m about to start packing soon for our next adventure- Disney world Florida for three weeks.

we have had such an amazing 18months of holidays. We’ve been on Britannia to Spain and France. Then we tried our hand at msc first the fjords on virtuosa then to Northern Europe on preziosa. We did the canaries on iona. Had a wonderful pre chirstmas getaway to Disneyland Paris. Although it didn’t do a patch on Florida, the chirstmas decorations were lovely. We’ve just gotten back from our fjords cruise on iona with the parents in law tagging along at the last minute and now we have 5 days to go till I’m back where I love best.

now my holiday pot is completely dry I have to get back to saving for the next four adventures that we have booked for the next two years. I haven’t at all got enough holidays booked for my liking (my bank balance says no though currently) so it’s been awesome while it lasted.

if anyone wants to send me winning lottery tickets that will be much appreciated 😂

I know it’s a cruise board but I’ll probably post some Disney pics on here.
