Had a chill day today with a port lecture on Cadiz then went to the normal talks on gems etc to collect my cheapie necklaces and bracelets for my 9 yr old granddaughters , been very sunny and hot , smooth seas and the pool in the middle of the ship is sardines packed in a tin ( not for me ) looking forward to my sanctuary bed tomorrow, had a few of these 12 crt gold margaritas and a good lunch in the buffet, roast dinner with turkey and lamb , Bircher mullesli for breakfast in the international cafe which is lovely and quite in the morning.

Well a very windy day today then it rained later for most of the day , so just done some ironing today for formal night tonight so got ready early for that and sat in the atrium for a couple of hours people watching and watching the officers build the champagne tower , then we had a reservation in the Italian 6 courses and you need not to eat all day to eat in that restaurant, to start with we had breads and oil and balsamic vinegar to dip in first , I didn’t photo that but here it goes 😅IMG_3938.thumb.jpeg.ec6efb83df83ee9ad6450775ddc5becb.jpegmushroom risotto

I'm jealous of you all that have had a lovely sunny day.

Here it's been quite windy and although it isn't cold, 21c at present, we haven't had a lot of sun!

I have a friend in Turkey at the moment, she was looking at the rain yesterday while we had hot and sunny weather!

I hope the weather improves for you.

Morning  ,that was a really good sunrise with a strong orange glow .

Just gave the birds plenty of cool fresh water ,which the Blackbirds seem happy with .

I like early mornings that are like this, seems fresh 13.c at the moment .

Have a good day everyone 🙂

Morning everyone, hope you are all ok today.

We arrived back from our cruise on Anthem of the Seas on Sunday evening. I was shattered after driving from Southampton to Halifax tgrn back across to Lytham, I won’t be doing that again anytime soon.

We all had a lovely time, the grandchildren went on the skydiving and flow rider and joined in lots of other activities. We had food in Jamie’s, Chops and Wonderland which they loved.

Unfortunately me and my hubby are now both not well, full of cold so I have been on the lemsips for the last 24 hours

In the middle of the night my daughter text me, she was in A & E with eldest grandson(15). Earlier in the night he got jumped and was punched breaking his jaw. He has been transferred to a specialist Max Fax unit for surgery. They have been sat there nearly 12 hours as there are no beds. He is been given antibiotics and should get surgery today. The Hosp have said they are going to report it to the Police as it is such a severe injury, which my daughter is too.

I have hardly slept with worrying. Hoping to go over probably tomorrow when hopefully I feel a bit better.

That is shocking. Too many low lives around that have no care or respect for anyone.

Best wishes to you all.   Bob.

DH sometimes watches the Police chase-type of TV programme and the abuse the police have to put up with from some folk (young and not so young!) is just appalling; and that's before you even look at the crime being investigated. I have to keep repeating the mantra to myself that this is a small minority ........!

Michelle I am so sorry that the benefits from your holiday must be evaporating fast with the worry and the fact that you are both not well.  Let's hope the next few days bring big improvements on all fronts.

A sunny but windy day again down here, just a repeat of yesterday? Hopefully the sun won't disappear!

Just learnt via my cruise's roll call that we have a port change. We are now calling at Olden instead of Nordfjordeid. I'm disappointed, as although there didn't look to be a lot there, it was a new port of call for us having visited Olden on all our previous Norwegian cruises.

I am so sorry to hear this news Michelle and I hope the cowards that did this are brought to justice.

When I was 17 my so called best friend after a few drinks who was twice my size suddenly hit me for no reason.

My jaw was broken in 2 places and I had my jaw wired together the next day in hospital.

My jaw was wired for 6 weeks and I lost a stone in weight.

He was full of apologies so I never said who did it but since having my jaws wired together I have spent a fortune on dental treatment.

I stopped being friends with him shortly afterwards.

I'm sorry to hear you are both unwell after having such a wonderful cruise.

Maybe next time split the driving up and stop overnight somewhere about half way home.

Take care.

Graham.

It is far worse today than it was in the 70's,80"s and 90's. No respect for any authority and certain types enjoy baiting the police. The stories my great niece tells are mind blowing and she only just completed her probation, 2 years.

We usually split the driving but because we had four grandchildren, my mobility scooter and luggage we needed to take two cars.

Forgot to say earlier we stayed the night before at Elizabeth House Hotel, it was very nice, clean and good breakfast. Nice pub across the road for a meal and a great playground for the children
