It was our 36th wedding anniversary on Tuesday 19th and we had a lovely meal in an independent Italian. We also went up St John’s beacon for fabulous views and had a great river cruise which gave me a brilliant view of the Viking cruise ship in port! It looks like you had a fabulous day in my home city. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary 🎉🎉 4

I'm having Covid vac on Wed next week so after that I'm ready to take Winter on - I love Winter. I hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you're doing. I've just seen the weather forecast and it seems some parts of the country (North West and Scotland) are going to catch the tail-end of hurricane Nigel on Sunday so batten down and be safe. Best wishes. Jane xx I wouldn't worry Jane.Any hurricane called Nigel wont have a lot of puff.Sorry to all the Nigels out there.😉.
indiana123 Posted September 23, 2023 #50330 Share Posted September 23, 2023 Hooray just got my second neg. Just the bronchititis to go now but have large doses of antibiotics so all should be well. Why on earth did I get two things at once?? I wonder how many others off the ship suffered. Kalos, I hope you follow me with negatives soon. I was very fortunate. I keep hinting hoping OH will book a 'surprise' dinner tonight!!🤣

Only been to Liverpool once and that was to get a passport, it looks well worthy of another visit Michelle We first went in about 2021 for the football (I’m a big LFC fan) and we keep going back for all the other things! We’ve done all the Beatles stuff (including the houses owned by the NT, highly recommended. You have to book but you don’t have to be NT members) We also went to the catholic cathedral but last visit we went to the gothic Anglican cathedral which we enjoyed more, the catholic one is amazing but we had a lovely lunch in a lovely cafe at the Anglican one. We walked a long way up a hill to get to ‘Paddy’s wigwam’ and the cafe was closed for refurbishment!
Rare twotravellersLondon Posted September 23, 2023 #50333 Share Posted September 23, 2023 Celebrating our 49th the other day in the Surrey Hills. So why post pictures of food? Because a year ago we were given a provisional diagnosis of aggressive cancer... Celebrating Christmas 2022 seemed highly unlikely but this thread kept us amused, distracted and the positivity and generosity of many members made us feel very welcome. The diagnoses was subsequently changed... certainly no cancer. We hoped. We hoped that somewhere over a rainbow there was a place that skies would be blue... and there was. But this is the meal that we would have liked to have shared with so many people. So cheers to so many warm-hearted, generous folk on here. Good health and happiness! 24

The gardener cut the grass at 9am this morning. Freddie immediately went and played outside and came back with green paws so has just had to have his paws dunked in the bath. The bath now needs cleaning as there’s a green tinge to to it…🤣 Freddie hates fireworks. When I know they are about I find a Piriton helps calm him. The vet said it was fine to give him one each evening (he’s 12.5kg). @Eddie99 I’d forgotten about valerian - thank you. Freddie doesn’t react to any of the you tube videos played at full blast, but the real thing is a different matter. I suspect he feels the noise…… Gill x As a dog lover Gill, perhaps you can help me with a puzzle. There is an add on TV about a pill you can give your old dog. It show shim running around like a puppy. Now there are lots of elderly folk with reduced mobility for the same condition....So question is....🐶 Edited September 23, 2023 by zap99
July morning Posted September 23, 2023 #50339 Share Posted September 23, 2023 For the dogs it's "Youmove" I think I should try some for myself 🙂
Rare Eddie99 Posted September 23, 2023 #50340 Share Posted September 23, 2023 There is a human Yumove. I don’t remember what it’s called but GIYF I think it’s based on green-lipped mussels? I’m sure there was a fashion for supplements with GLM for humans several/many years ago

I have been taking it for about 6 months and it has made a huge difference to my joint pain, hands, shoulders, knees (my toes are ok😁)
ohnonotmeagain Posted September 23, 2023 #50342 Share Posted September 23, 2023 Just catching up after holiday and full week at work again ( comes VERY hard after nearly a year off) but still jabbing those that want it! Wishing you *all better * for those that were/are ill and no words can do justice to the dreadful news for some of our little community, very sad. But every now and then, you get a really good piece of news from someone and you realise it's not all doom and gloom. Life is full of highs and lows....... we just hope we get more highs.......
