P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

I’m mildly amused by waiting staff commenting on my menu choices as if I’m at primary school - “Great choice”, “Wonderful”, “Amazing”.  I’d rather they didn’t but I suppose it’s better than silence?  What did they used to do? - just repeat “sea bass with new potatoes and mixed greens”, I suppose.  Anybody remember?

This amused me

Well after not going to the gym for about 10 weeks due to back problems/holidays/ grandma duties I have finally been today. It feels great to exercise again, going again tomorrow. I could definitely feel how unfit I have become.

Hopefully it will do me good and I will lose a few inches

Oh dear, now someone has "reached out" to me. As far as I'm concerned, only the Four Tops reach out. The rest of us contact. Harrumph!

Workflow diagram  I often send when someone “reaches out” via email or messenger

Thanks. Clearly my response was not as original as I thought.

I think " buzz words" go in and out of trend....another buzz word that I am hearing at the moment is " cool" as well as " amazing"

I hear this at work sometimes, for example when I advise a colleague how I can help them resolve something and they say (or even write) “cool.” I gently respond that me doing the job I’m paid for isn’t cool….Bruce Springsteen is cool.

Morning peeps

currently sat in buffet just before we go ashore at Molde. Got to say that the ship itself is nicer than p&o but the food and especially the service is worse.

we left Southampton just after iona and ended up passing her in the middle of the sea on the first day.

we were in Hellesylt yesterday where I think she is due today.
did she go to olden yesterday as it didn’t say she did when we tracked her. Wondering if we pass her again on the way back.

enjoy the rest of your week.

Having sailed twice with MSC I would totally agree with you about the nicer ships but poorer food and service. The pizza was nice though!!

Hope you have a great day in Molde today.

yes the pizza is very Italian type and nice.  Unless you pay for the extras like the crepes and Ice creams even the coffee etc then they are nice. The free stuff not so much.

we have been into Molde. Lasted all of an hour. They wanted to come to the pool instead. It’s nice weather though.

I was sorry to read about the death of Gorbachev - many of you will remember that although he did not seem particularly like a friend to the west at the time, he made a sadly temporary difference to the feeling of safety in the world.  Comparisons are odious.

Gorby did the right things for the right reasons.  Unlike his successors.

Just answered the phone at work to someone who called me 'buddy.' Being the polite guy I am I did not reply that my name isn't Ebsen or Holly (two for the teenagers there). Fortunately I am still basking in the warm afterglow of a fine performance and victory by my football team last night as well as the anticipation of my cruise next Thursday so I let it pass.

I keep reading about the miraculous qualities of air fryers so thought I'd ask on here if anyone has one, if so, what they use it for, and are they all they're cracked up to be?

We bought a Ninja 15 in 1 on Sunday. Had roast chicken, roast veg, other veg and stuffing just over the hour on Sunday. Cottage pie on Monday. Steamed salmon and veg on Tuesday. Paella tonight. Works great.

Not pretty, is she, but I bet the interior and facilities are good

Not a lot of public open space for all those people

My daughter bought one earlier in the year. She swears by it as an energy saver. Her middle boy, who has autism, loves fish fingers and chips and would have them every day if allowed. He told me how to use the air fryer when Jen was at work. 15 minutes from frozen and all perfectly cooked.
