Well, it looks like this cruise is coming to an end, as the next few show us getting back to Miami... Also, I have no idea what ship that is in the photo, as I was currently on board the Glory... It does have a whale tail, I know that...IMG_20151001_075022797.thumb.jpg.eddf4ff0c18d6ed371142886a4e92227.jpg

Ok, now it's all coming back to me... This was my first time visiting South Beach in Miami... I had booked a late flight, so I took a cab to the airport and stored my suitcase. From there, I took the public bus over to Miami Beach for the low low cost of $2.65... I set out on foot to explore the art deco district and beyond... Let's just have a look... First, the view from South Point Park. This is the part you see from the ship as you're exiting the channel...

If you turn around, these are the condos closest to the park...

And, just over the hill, you can see the Southernmost end of Miami Beach...

Those rocks in the second picture are what forms the very tip of the cruise ship channel. I walked all the way out there, but I guess I didn't take any pictures...

Now, we're getting closer to the art deco district. I had only ever seen any of this stuff on TV and the movies, so it was sort of surreal actually being there...

One day, I'm actually going to book one of these old historic hotels, and experience Miami Beach for real real...

I was born and grew up in Miami and spent a lot of time on South Beach. Great old hotels.  At one point they were ready to be torn down and instead a wise developer went in and had them refurbished. Great move.

Lots of stolen bikes in the containers on the freighter.

I’m going to guess that ship pic was during your Belize water shuttle because the ship is Glory.

They'll always be tenders to me... But, yes, it appears that you are correct...

Thanks a million Sid to help me from going stir crazy!!  I've read alot of your adventures but think I missed the original.   Thanks for posting it.

Also, could you post the link to your ATL blog?  I know the letters are spelled out somehow but can't remember it and I can't find the link I use to have either.  Sometimes I think I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached...
