after sitting in bus for 10 or so minutes we discovered there was no working a/c in the bus and we couldn’t open windows,

I am sorry this happened to you. I have heard horror stories of ship sponsored excursions that include a bus ride but they do not tell you for how long (sometimes hours) or if they are air conditioned. Glad you got a refund.

Great minds think alike. I looked around on Google and found it too. I will definitely stop there on our cruise. Thank you Renee!

I’ve never heard of guava berry liquor. Guess I need to book a cruise with a St Maarten stop so I can give it a try. Seems like a good enough reason.

Beautiful weather day here today...got a chance to reschedule our hike at Petit Manan wildlife sanctuary.  Big circle loop that opens up to a beach half way through, down near the point.

Yes, I did remember my hiking shoes!!  😉  Got a chance to take them off and enjoy "picnic on a rock" out by the point.

Yes, looks like a perfect day for a hike around the area and a nice picnic lunch with all your homemade goodies 🙂       Glad you are enjoying and the weather improved for you this week.

So this morning I invited the mother of my DIL (shall I call her my in-law???) to the same place on the beach BFF invited me for my birthday. Really wanted a "repeat" of Eggs Benedict, until we cruise again...

It was her birthday too, and we made it a "girls' morning".

At the neighboring table, the birds had a feast with the left overs....

It looks wonderful. The beach looks beautiful too.

Me neither. I'll try anything once. The Guavaberry Colada looks like it has this:

Guavaberry Colada

DRINK INGREDIENTS:

2oz Sint Maarten Guavaberry

1oz Coconut Cream

3oz Pineapple Juice or Pieces

Ice

Looks good to me.

Checked on my moms house today and when I left Lucy looked like this.

Mom’s place was good. Her trumpet plants are in full bloom.

It was fun playing tourist in San Francisco the other day.  Visited the famous Lombard Street (aka the crookedest Street in the world).  This whole street is filled with hydrangeas.  It is almost as beautiful as @grapau27and @A&L_Ont‘s gardens.

Here’s an amazing view from the top.

It's been many years since I was there, but it is a beautiful street.

thank you for your beautiful photos, especially love the view from the top of the street.

I bet those homes are selling for a pretty penny these days.    I don't know that I would like living on that street with the constant tourists driving through.

Her trumpet bush is beautiful.

Poor Lucy out there in the heat, she's exhausted probably from hanging with her night time friend.    She needs to go for a swim or go to the AC.

Thank-you very much.  The plants do all the work at our place, we just get to enjoy them.

As for SF, I got to go down Lombard street when I was a kid and I kind of remember it as a passenger in the car. Would love to revisit it again as a driver. SF reminds me of some of my favourite movies… Bullitt and anything with Dirty Harry.

That is Pymatuning Lake in western Pa, with parts in Ohio.  It is horsepower restricted to 9.9 I think, so mainly sailboats and pontoon boats.

Are the massive amounts of carp still a thing?

OK, I was making the ladies on the boat this weekend cocktails with mango quava juice with Blue Chair (Kenny Chesney) Coconut rum.  They seemed to like them.  What is the difference between quava and quava berry?

Mango is sweet in taste and Guava is sweet-sour.

Sounds like the drink you made is nothing but sweet .

Yaii !!! Glad for you .... and for England 😁 [DH fell asleep when Italy was 1 and England 0.... shame on him].

At least I don't pretend to be interested in 😉

Denmark were 1-0 up.

England 2 Denmark 1.

Even Pauline was celebrating and she does not like football.😍

Great game and outcome.  Kane’s rebound shot was beautiful.  I’ll be rooting for them next weekend.

Did you hear UEFA gave tickets to the final game to the paramedics that saved Erickson’s life?  I thought that was a classy thing to do.

Right you are. Half wrong about the score ... I'm doing my best....😉

Confused it with Italy, which is already in the final.

Pauline didn't know which team was England at the start.

😃
