Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

So one project I got assigned this week was to replace the climbing wall on the grandkids play set.  Monday morning I went to look at it, and found several rotted boards.

So after a few measurements, it was off to Lowes for some treated lumber.  It has been a while since I bought lumber, but I couldn’t believe how expensive it still is, and the poor quality.  I must have looked through 100 pieces to find the seven pieces I needed to cut for the project.

$120 of lumber looks like this.

The new wall went up yesterday, but the new climbing holds didn’t get delivered till late yesterday.

The new holds went on this morning. And since we watched the grandkids after school, it has already been kid tested and kid approved.

Thanks, pretty much back to normal. After I had lunch I walked the track a couple of times. Wasn’t sure if it would bother my back so I only did a couple laps. All was fine.

Thanks everyone. It was really painful, but was much better the next day.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!!!

Yes, Laura has been, but I haven’t.

2 sets of neighbors, and a ton of past sailing friends are joining us.

Very nice!!!

Well done, Grandpa Mark!!!😉

The price of lumber and all things related is horrific.

$3.85 here.

Oops, down to $3.79 now

I don't understand why ours is up to $4.32 here in N.J.   It was around $4.15 a few days ago, and I sure wasn't happy about that!  Prices fluctuated as we left Naples and traveled home by car.  I was shocked to see NJ was so much higher than Naples.  I guess it's probably due to our wonderful Governor here.😫

I wonder too why the huge increase in last 2 weeks here in PA.  Gas was around $4.15 2 weeks ago, end of last week jumped to $4.30 yesterday I paid $4.47.

Same on our end of the state.  Fortunately we are only a couple miles from Ohio where it is $0.40 to $0.50 cheaper per gallon.

Bruins and Celtics being in the playoffs is really messing up my tv viewing schedule.

I would have liked to have seen Tori get voted our last week. Next Wednesday night I have an Advanced Cardiac Life Support recertification so I'll be missing Survivor again.

I will see next Wednesday but will be on Quantum the week after.  DVR is set though, so will catch up once we get back.

Something posted from a current Allure cruiser. (I just deleted)

I guess I should be careful posting from another social media site.

But, I deleted it.

But a person on the allure said B2B cruisers no longer need to have a COVID test between cruises.

Did not want to break the CC rules.

We are going to Alaska, round trip from Seattle.  Flying in a few days early to see a little more of Seattle and then headed to Icy Strait Point, Skagway, Juneau and Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier.

We haven't cruised since February 2020, so really can't wait.  We thought we were cancelling because of my Mom, but my siblings are stepping up and told us to go while we can.

Great! It feels so good to be back out to sea.
