Welcome to New England. Maine has a beautiful rugged coastline. The weather will be making steady improvement as today comes to a close. You arrived at a good time.

Thanks!   Rain, cold, drizzle, clouds...yuck for last two days.

Got up this morning to see full sun coming up over the inlet and blue skies.  What a difference a day makes!

Bucky needs to buy a fishing pole - fresh fish each day for a shore lunch................life is good!!!!

We cheated.  Had our first lobster roll at a take out/fresh seafood shop, plus bought some of their very fresh Halibut, that we had that on the grill last night.  Life is good!  😄

How was my day today ,you ask ?

I felt as though I was in a horror film.At one AM my wife was screaming. She was in the bathroom and it was full of blood,on her,on the floor,on the walls.A vein on one of her legs somehow opened and blood was gushing .She suffers from a problem similiar to hemophilia .

I called 911 and also one of my daughters. Two police officers and an ambulance came. The EMT was able to stop the blood from flowing and my wife did not have to go to the hospital .

Later today when things calmed down one of the water pipes in our house somehow broke and water was gushing all over our kitchen.

An unbelievable day.

Best wishes for her recovery. Hope she is all good now.

Beautiful home, LOVE the kitchen and floors.

Me too.  Got lucky with the new place.  Win some, lose some...this was a win.  Brand new SUV rental for the almost four months as well.  I was worried they would stick us with a stinky well worn clunker for that long of a rental.  😉

We are home now after 3 nights and 4 days in the Lake District.

Today was 77°F and sunny.

We started the day in Grasmere the home of Wordsworth a famous English poet.

I then drove to Lake Coniston where Donald Campbell died trying to break the water speed record in 1967.

We then had lunch outside at a lovely hotel near Bowness.

Afterwards we walked around Bowness overlooking Lake Windermere.

Now the outside of the house we are renting...since it is not raining on my head.  😉  Set up for a fire this weekend, hot dog grilling time!  And kayaks ready to go for a paddle.  🙂

We are now heading out to Bar Harbor.  Celebrate time!  🥰

Looks fantastic - have a safe trip to town and celebrate!!!!!

I'd be afraid that if I shimmied into one of the kayaks that the EMT's would have to pry me out!!!!!!!!! LOL

So sad for you and Nate. Sending virtual hugs.

... and I wish you were wrong ....

Crystal is right Dani, life is short and this endearing thread has been brilliant for those of us who want to communicate in a nice way and be friendly to each other.

It is best to make the most of every day as your recent countries conflict,my heart attack and covid19 infection and Crystals heartache to name just 4 things of many that our friends report on here confirms.

Take care.

Graham.
