What to do if no more cruising??

So what are your thoughts if cruising as we know it is finished?

Not saying it is, just what if?

What will you do, where will you go?

Should we arrange a UK holiday where we can all meet up?

At least we would be with people who enjoy the same sort of thing...

Who would be up for it?

Any suggestions welcome...

I know we bicker like children sometimes, but what I have learnt recently is that there is a tremendous amount of care and respect amongst us.

I know this would be some people's nightmare, but I for one would love to spend time in your company.

Let me know if you like or hate this idea?

Either is fine, just putting it out there...

I hope you're wrong Andy as its the only way now that we get go abroad for a holiday, and I miss the Med sunshine and temperatures.  But if cruising is impossible then Butlins or maybe Warners might be worth considering, and a Cruise Critic P&O outing sounds like a good suggestion.

I posted a similar type of post in The Pub that no one has replied to (Ahhhh!)

What I will do when (hopefully) I get my refund, is, although I haven't been brave enough to tell Mrs W  yet, is to buy a 10 year old Jag (leather,  auto, 120000 on the clock) and travel around the UK,  using the CAMRA guide to guide us.

There are enormous parts of the UK I have never seen,  and I reckon I can buy an XJ for a four week trip, travel in luxury, and then sell it for half the price I paid for it, stay in decent hotels, drink in good pubs, see fantastic scenery,  and the whole experience will cost me less than 2 weeks in a suite.

What can possibly go wrong?

Right lads our holidays are back on as I've bought this Caravan off E-BAY .

Haggled the guy down to £150 from £160.ono A right bargain .

Granted it wants touching up a bit on the outside but inside It's not so bad.

Floors a bit iffy but I know a bloke down Southampton  who would sort that out .

There is a dripping tap but I need to wait for Brian coming over from Italy as he's

not bad with that sort of thing .

The caravan is sited in Hessle near Hull with wonderful views of the estuary  watching

P&O FERRIES and oil tankers  glide by and a nice view of the Humber Bridge if you look  up

as it's located underneath the bridge .

As I said it just needs tidying up a bit .Possibly get the CC ladies on the job .:classic_wink:

Running out of cash due to purchase but may let Wowzz come in as a part owner

seeing all that coin is burning his pockets .

Put a few pics below ,sorry about the mess inside as I've just gave it a quick going over.

If cash is a problem, the gas bottle outside may have a deposit paid on it that you can collect on return - a bit like pop bottles in the dim and distant. Judging by the dimensions, and I realise it may be an optical illusion, the furniture, fixtures and fittings must be tiny to fit into what looks like quite a small caravan. Whatever, I wouldn’t fancy towing down the motorway behind the car.😉☺️

Ex owner seems to have said quite a lot that may be dodgy. However, if you believe the owner’s assertion that it is static, my original reluctance to tow it down the motorway is well founded.

Do you need some cash to shore up your investment or have you paused future bookings?🍷

I have got to level with you.

I smell a rat with your purchase and future plans to hire it out. Not surprising given how it looks.

A positive suggestion. If I am smelling an actual rat, get someone to catch it together with anything else that may have taken up temporary residence, build a small enclosure for them and advertise it as being in a wildlife park. £20 per week with free admission to see the wildlife. I will expect 20% commission based on added earnings for giving you the idea though.

I sought some advice and my financial adviser (The guy who sold me the van)

He told me to invest my money in bonds.

So I've bought 100 copies of Gold finger off of him ,Videos will make a come back ,he said .:classic_unsure:

Rat Idea Pete ...count me in :classic_cool:

To copy someone I saw on telly: ‘I can’t see it as scaleable so it’s not an investment for me, I’m out’ although a little voice in my head is tempting me to say I’ll offer all the money but I want 300% of your company. Do you want to talk to the wall Mr Kalos.
