Rare Coral Posted June 19, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2020 With laundry detergent (I bring my own). 2 1
Madmathdad Posted June 19, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2020 While laundry detergent is a good option, a mix and match approach I'm told by my wife is critical. Most consideration I believe is on the formal nights. 1
caribill Posted June 19, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2020 Pack for about 10 days and do laundry weekly. On Princess, each ship does have laundry rooms for passenger use. Purchase tokens with your cruise card in the laundry room to use the washers and dryers. Laundry rooms also have free-to-use ironing boards and irons.
paul929207 Posted June 19, 2020 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2020 We pack pretty much the same for any cruise over 10 days

Pro Tip - pre-purchase your tokens so you don't wind up in the laundry room with your "stuff" only to find the token machine out or out of order ... I believe you can also get tokens at the customer service desk
Rare Tak8 Posted June 19, 2020 #7 Share Posted June 19, 2020 Book a suite or become elite to get free laundry. Cross your fingers that it comes back the same size. 2

AF-1 Posted June 21, 2020 #9 Share Posted June 21, 2020 We've stayed in suites our last two cruises; no issues with laundry coming back. Laundry was taken at 8am and back by 6pm same day. All was good. However, you can do what others say; do laundry weekly. Have fun on your cruise.
phabric Posted June 21, 2020 #10 Share Posted June 21, 2020 On my Sky Cruise, I received someone else’s laundry a couple of times. I left the item on the bed with a note and my item was return the later.
Rare Coral Posted June 21, 2020 #11 Share Posted June 21, 2020 I lost one of my favorite sweaters on an Alaskan cruise I sent out for laundry. I won't send anything away that I can't easily replace. I stick with socks and jeans.
Duffysmom Posted June 21, 2020 #12 Share Posted June 21, 2020 Having the ability to do our own laundry is a major plus on long cruises. We are longing to cruise again; now that we are up in years cruising is our go to vacation. DH had a major health issue on the Sky in December and we were pleased with the quality of care.
