How does it work if I already had obc from the last time I got cancelled and booked a later one.  Do they add it to what you already had?  I had $800 obc on the one they just cancelled.  Does that mean the next will be $1400 obc?

No, they do not add them together. Here is the fine print from the letter: New OBC offer replaces any previous OBC offer and applies to new booking if made by 5/31/2021.

So, my September cruise was cancelled and I am going to roll the money I paid to a January cruise.  I only paid a deposit for my January cruise.  The thing is, my January cruise is $1,288 less than my September cruise.  I am wondering what happens with the $1,288.  Will they refund it to my credit card?

That is what they did when I rebooked my cruise at a lower rate after it was cancelled.  I also got my refund in less than 30 days. I did book through the Casino so I am not sure if that makes a difference.

Looks like the website has been updated as of June 22nd under the Health and Sailing Update. Bummer. Hopefully this will be the last of the cancellations!

I don't mean to be argumentative, but how will September 30th be different from today, in terms of what is causing the cancellations?  I suspect they will cancel for the rest of the year in August.

Still holding out. Our B2B on the Magic is scheduled for Oct 10 - 24. But a little concerned there will only be possibly 1 sailing before ours (Oct 03) to work any kinks out. Might be making a lot of lemonade from potential lemons during that cruise. But we will go with the flow.

We had just paid a $250 deposit for the 7 day Freedom Sept 6 sailing thats now been cancelled.  Our Jan Vista cruise is fully paid for.  We also have a 7 day in Sept 2021 that we still owe a bit on.  I take it that to get the $600 OBC it has too be a new booking?

Should we roll that $250 into OBC for Jan?  Towards Sept?  Advice?

Thx

I was considering rolling into September, but all the cruises I want are more expensive.  I think January is still too soon, because I don't know how it will be any different in January from today.  Even if there's a vaccine, it will take a while for it to immunize enough people.

Although everyone has different opinions, there's an Italian infectious disease doctor who thinks the virus is weakening and may go away on its own.  I know that's just his opinion, but I remain hopeful things will be different by January.

OK, cool.  That is a distinct possibility and it's happened before.  I too will hope it happens again.

Just received an email cancelling our Sept 19th cruise on the Panorama out of long beach.  It stated all Carnival Cruises are cancelled until September 30th.  We are so disappointed.

Can someone tell me how the obc offer would work in my situation if my cruise gets cancelled in Dec?

We have 4 people in the room. 3 are also booked for cruise in 2021, 4th isn't able to do that but would plan to do cruise on their own scheduling. Do they break up that obc per person?

When the Carnival announcement says cruises through Sept. are cancelled, my Sept. 19th cruise is still on my account. If I try to cancel it myself it says I will forfeit $500.00. When my August cruise was cancelled the same thing happened. I called Carnival as soon as they opened and was told it was a casino promotion and she gave me their phone number - wish I had kept it as the Sept. cruise is also a casino promotion. Anyway, I called and the agent said she had to cancel the cruise for me. She cancelled the Aug. cruise and transferred the OBC to the Sept. cruise. She immediately sent me an email with the booking info with the OBC,

I just tried calling Carnival to get the casino promotion phone number and was told to try later - not surprised at that. I'll call the regular number first thing they open tomorrow to get the casino promotion number. Hopefully, the same thing will happen and the FCC and OBC will go on our new March 2021 Breeze booking which I just made.

I didn't want to fill out the form Carnival provided today as the Sept. cruise is not really cancelled.

Still no word or announcement on Radiance or Mardi Gras though. Patiently waiting to hear whether I will be on the Mardi Gras in January. Not looking promising.😢

We're on transatlantic's in Jan, and March, already told my wife, we got little to no chance of that happening!

Its just too much for the world to get everyone to agree right now with testing, distancing, wearing masks, what to do with people testing positive on the ship, excursions, port entries allowed, etc..!

Hi,

I booked with a TA and not made final payment yet, as my cruise was for 9/26. Do I need to let my  TA or with Carnival know about the option I selected?  If I rebook, do I need to stay with the same TA?  I only have a $100 deposit. If I rebook, am I still eligible for the $600 OBC?  Please confirm that the $100 deposit can not be applied to a deposit for a new booking, but can be used for final payment.

Thank you everyone.

ML

Damn, was hoping my October 4 cruise would be cancelled. I am not comfortable going on the first cruise out or going to Florida in the near future.  Guess I better call and see about taking the ES hit and cancelling.

We are scheduled on the Oct 3rd Horizon sailing. Why not go on the first cruises? The ships will be the cleanest that they've ever been, the crews will be thoroughly checked and ready to serve you and more. We're still thinking of going unless Carnival cancels again. We just wouldn't get off the ship during ports of call. Been to all of them before, so no big deal.

I am also booked in October, for a 6-night sailing.  Check available cruises for the month of October; you will find that the only available cruises are 3-5 nights, nothing longer.  We are making alternate plans for when/if longer sailings in October are cancelled.  In limbo longer!
