Serenity following Symphony  ~  Sydney  harbour  ~  also February 2018.

I believe this was a rare occasion when the sisters were in Sydney together.

I've seen the 2 ships together a few times and visited the other ship occasionally.  The last time was in Grand Turk about 4 years ago.  I was on Symphony at the time.  Their dock holds only 2 ships and Carnival owns the port so their subsidiary HAL's Nieuw Amsterdam had priority for one of the berths.  Since Serenity has azipods and can do dynamic positioning Symphony got the dock.  First an overview:

And closer a view of just the 2 Crystal ships:

That was the 2018 WC. Both ships did the WC that year and they met in Sydney.

we were on Symphony and it was a wonderful sail out.

On many of the newer ships, if you want a room of a certain size, you have no choice.

One of the things we really liked about Silver Moon is La Dolce Vita lounge obviated the problem, as we always went from our room to that lounge before dinner! 🙂

That was the 2018 WC when both ships did a different version of the WC and met in Sydney for a gala. We were on Symphony and it was a wonderful sail out.

A number of my trips have evolved from something I missed in a prior trip.  In 2007 I sailed Silversea Rome to Dubai and got document too late to visit the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.  A couple years later I filled that gap by booking a Nile River cruise but missed out on a tour to Alexandria I the day before the tour started.  When Serenity had a nice tour visiting Alexandria in 2010 I booked it, followed by another med cruise on the Wind Surf, and QM2 back home from Southampton.  This is the sunrise our last day in Alexandria, October 25, 2010.

Today's sunrise is from another round trip transatlantic, this one in 2014 eastbound on QM2 and returning on a cruise ship, this time Wind Star.  I worked early on our fire department's breakfast October 26th and caught the sun coming up from our ballroom lobby:
