Empress is now sailing south in the Suez Canal.  She is no longer in the.Mediterranean.

Since the crew is just working on a contract basis maybe the crew does both. Keep working on the Empress until Royal calls.

Empress is still sailing toward the Indian Ocean.  She is now being followed by the former Carnival Fascination.  Wonder if they are headed to the same port.

They will both likely need to resupply somewhere along the way (looks like Muscat for Empress - CMV Magellan has been there for a while), but other than an eventual potential demise on the beach in Alang, they are unlikely to go to the same port.

A few days ago I read from another page that the handover of Empress to the new owner (Cordelia Cruises) will take place in Muscat.

 

Now AIS shows that this is the next port for Empress is Muscat, and for Fascination is Singapore.

Majesty has started sailing again and is headed East.  Maybe she is also heading to the Suez Canal.

Empress is about to sail out of the Red Sea and enter the Gulf of Aden.

Empress has started the left turn from the Arabian Sea to the Gulf of Edam, and should be docked at Muscat in less then 24 hours.  This may be the last day with a Royal crew.

After spending a day at anchor, Empress is now docked at Muscat.  When Empress sails again she should be crewed by the new owner and headed to her new home.

Royal will refund you the money for the cruise that they cancelled.  The FCC was from a cruise that you cancelled and will not be refunded.  The expiry date would be 12 months from the date they cancelled or Sept 30, 2022 whichever is later.

Former Empress of the Seas

The start-up will field the former Empress of the Seas, built in 1990 as Nordic Empress. The ship exited the Royal Caribbean International fleet in December. 

 

Cordelia is advertising two-, three-, four-, five-, six- and seven-night cruises to destinations in India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, scheduled to start in May.

Empress is still docked in Dubai so it sounds like she may sail this month to India.

After being docked in Dubai for almost two months, Empress has sailed.  Looks like she started sailing less then an hour ago.

After less then 24 hours sailing, Empress is back to being docked in Dubai.  Must not be in any hurry to get to India.

Probably due to the increasing COVID numbers and the fact that India's borders are closed.
