No disagreement from me with your thinking!

However, if the cruise industry does not find a way to adequately deal with it, the cruise industry as we know it will be "toast".

Yup. No argument there.

Be well.

It is seriously stupid that anyone would have considered taking this cruise.

I do not understand the logic given the current numbers and the anticipated trajectory.

I cannot imagine why anyone would have anticipated a different outcome.

Not everyone thinks like you.

The only way to have a safe cruise right now is by only allowing COVID survivors on board.  This includes crew and passengers.  Later on, those who have been vaccinated would also be allowed.

I have read nothing that assures me that having survived the virus once means that you will not get it again and be a carrier of that virus.

Everybody on the ship has to be a survivor or vaccinated.  That is, everybody will have resistance to COVID.  There will be no one who will get sick with COVID even if it is present.

The good news is that there is a rapidly growing resistant customer base!    Seriously, elderly people with no resistance to COVID should not be allowed on a cruise ship.

And it is scary that they did not learn from the experience of Princess in Australia.

Exactly.  On sea........and very so much on land.

Using a broad definition of corruption, what Hurtigruten tried to do for their business is the much the same as what we Ohioans have seen in recent days involving the very recently removed Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives did for his "corporate friends".
