Do tell ...

We concentrated more on the sightseeing - getting nice food on the ship usually sufficed for us. Seldom ate much when ashore.

We enjoy trying local cuisine for lunch at port stops. It beats the ship's buffet any day!

Well I actually visited Tallinn last year on a road trip not a cruise. We stayed three nights so we really tried the food. Some of my favourite traditional dishes was crispy pig ears and a rich herbaceous blood sausage. I also had a venison soup that was so full of flavour. We also ate modern Estonian food at this restaurant that the locals love. We were so lucky to get a table. We had venison with local berries sauce and a cheese risotto with local herbs and sea vegetables. For dessert I had a sorbet with sea buckthorn. It was the most amazing flavour I have ever tried. Washed it down with locally made rhubarb wine😋. We also visited a local pastry shop that had these trout, egg and cheese pies. We had them for breakfast after our dawn walk around the town. They were so good we wanted more in the afternoon and they were sold out 😂

Neals Yard was the answer I was looking for.

It is a most unexpected and charming little lane in Covent Garden that opens out into a courtyard. All the buildings are brightly painted and there are interesting little shops and restaurants. One shop is called Neal's Yard Remedies, selling health and beauty products. DH used to like one of their shampoos so while I was exploring London I decided to find the original store and in doing so I discovered a very delightful part of London. Just around the corner from Neals Yard, in Short's Gardens, there is an amazing cheese shop, Neal's Yard Dairy.

When my daughter lived in London, she used to take me to a fabulous popular vegetarian restaurant near there.  We were all broken hearted when it closed down because of the high rents once the area became trendy.  Now I go there just to check that I can still find my way around the seven ways.

Algebuckina Bridge in SA?

Wow I am Impressed......

Correct 100%

Have you been there ???   Cheers Don1395411178_bridgemainview.thumb.jpg.895c796f68d4f69e0f3a69963de19d61.jpg

The Algebuckina Bridge is on the Old Ghan Line which cross the Neales River

and is located about 55km South of Oodnadatta built in 1892 with a length of 587 m

and until 2014 was the longest bridge in South Australia

It is believed 16 workers lost their lives during construction of this section of the line

Mainly due to the heat.

We were only in Tallinn for a day on a cruise.  I wished I could have stayed three days like you did.  When we do land travel we always stay at least three days at each place.  Impressed with your dawn walk around town.  I found a small cafe with delicious food at a reasonable price, which I could find again, but don't remember the name.

The first day in Tallinn we realised this place is busy😱. So many tour groups choke up the streets it is so hard to move around so we thought for the next day get up at the crack of dawn so we could have a peaceful look around the city. We had the viewing platforms all to ourselves, the streets were quiet and there were only locals collecting their coffee and pastries on the way to work it was so wonderful.
