We are booked to Alaska in May '21.  At this point, I am hoping it is a go, but we will be driving out to Seattle and made sure all of our hotel reservations out and back were refundable.  It also will require that Canada opens Victoria, BC as a cruise port.

This has been on our “bucket list” for years!!  It sounds wonderful!  Surely hope all travel restrictions are lifted so you can do this trip.

From USA Today

Don't bet on the U.S.-Canadian border reopening after the closure agreement expires Oct. 21.

In an interview Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his country is committed to keeping the border closed until the United States gets control of COVID-19.

Since the US is using containment instead of elimination strategies to battle Covid it may be a long wait.

The good news is the 2021 Alaska season is still more than 6 months away, and as we all know at this point, a LOT can happen in 6 months.  Downside is that could be a good thing (vaccines and treatments changing how we deal with this crisis), it could be a bad thing (none of those previous things and we are still in the current state of things).  Reality is there may not be firmed answers on if there will be a season, and what it looks like if there is one until early spring.  My fingers are crossed since we would love to get out to Vancouver (older DD wants to visit one of the universities there, why not add on a cruise).  If 2021 is still tossing poop emoji's at us however, those cruises won't be happening.
