Drinks and More v Premium Drinks

Hi

We are hoping to cruise to New Zealand in November 2021 , I see on looking at our planned cruise upgrades we can upgrade to the drinks or more or premium drinks package we do usually upgrade from the classic to the premium , my question is are all the premium drinks included in the drinks and more package it just give you a number of the premium drinks available.

The premium usually gives you a dollar price on the drinks available on that package. We looked at the all inclusive package but would a bit too expensive.

We are select members and see we could get a % off the premium upgrade but nothing mentioned about the drinks and more.

We enjoy the specialty coffee and cocktails so we will upgrade to one of them.😊

I haven’t heard of Drinks or more.

The previous packages are Classic or Premium and now with Always Included there are 3 levels. Of packages, so it depends when you booked as to what you are questioning

There's always been 3 levels of drink packages. There used to be a low level Standard package. I always upgrade to premium.

We also have Drinks and More as an optional upgrade here are the details on the package.  The way I read it it gives you the premium beverage package plus "more" as listed.  The Drinks and More is not available to purchase onboard.  However, you always have the option to upgrade your drink package to premium on board.

Save time and money when you purchase our new Drinks & More beverage package. Enjoy all of the benefits of the classic and premium beverage package, which includes all the top-shelf spirits (89 options), wide variety of wines (161 options)*, liqueurs & cognacs (24 options), beer (44 options) and champagne, plus the following:

.Two bottles of wine
• $50 in casino free play
• Wine tasting experience
• Package can be upgraded into
• If both adults in your stateroom purchase the Drinks & More package, the mini bar will be included and replenished once a day for your entire vacation.

We had Drinks & More on our last cruise in 2019 & just to let you know the wine is 375ml bottles I believe we had La Crema, which was fine.  The $50. Casino was also great.  The room steward was not too familiar with the program so getting the mini bar replenished was really not done but we also had the Premium Package so not a problem.  We also had 6 beer cannot remember the name I believe one was Heineken, cannot remember the other.   The small fridge also contained munchies.  The wine tasting was way over booked I think due to the Drinks or More people,  Not sure we would do the Drinks or more again.

Slightly different experience.  Drinks are the same as in the Premium package.

The 2 bottles of wine- were standard size bottles 1 white  1 red, both the low grade that they serve at functions where drinks are free.  Wine tasting was so crowded we left.  Our stateroom attendant was aware of the restocking of the mini bar but we had no choice of what the bar could be stocked with, there were a set list of items. Note both people have to upgrade for the mini bar to be stocked.

We decided that, to us it wasn’t worth the daily up-charge on a cruise of over 5 days.  You get the same 2 bottles of wine, same wine tasting, same $ 50  casino on a 5 days cruise as a 14 day cruise.

What do you mean that now with the AI there are three levels of packages?  It is my understanding that the AI includes the existing Classic Drink package (not a different package).  Do you have a different understanding?  Same with the TIPs that are not AI.

Hi

thanks for all your help the reply as per bebe08 with the copy of the details , it was the 89 spirts options etc is that just a selection of the top shelf premium package or the entire selection .

My reading may be wrong but I was thinking it was only a selection of the premium package not the full bundle.

We have a classic beverage package with the booking but like upgrading to the premium as we like a good rum , whisky and champagne.

Would suggest that the choice of spirits will likely change when cruising resumes.

There have been 3 packages, although not widely advertised, for quite some time.

Standard included well liquor,  house wine not sure about coffee or water. The first I heard about it was from a couple from the UK whose TA had given it to them. Then the Classic and Premium packages.   I saw it once or twice on a flyer on the ship but that was probably 3 years ago.  AI includes the Classic package.
