aliaschief Posted December 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2020 (edited) Though the shipyard is on holiday break everything appears on schedule. Interview earlier this week with Stan Kuppens stated Sea Trials will be in April and that her delivery to Hal is on time. https://www.hollandamerica.com/blog/ Edited December 30, 2020 by aliaschief 2

Nieuw Statendam was delivered on December 1st, 2018 and Capt Albert had joined her in early October.

aliaschief Posted December 30, 2020 Author #7 Share Posted December 30, 2020 During the interview Stan Kuppens explained that during the sea trials the Captain is from Fincantieri Marine Group as the ship still belongs to the shipyard. Not to say some Hal folks are not on-board witnessing the trials.

wdw1972 Posted January 2, 2021 #18 Share Posted January 2, 2021 I assume it was a tongue-in-cheek comment wishing for HAL ships half the size of the Pinnacle Class, which we all know will not happen since HAL has said the smaller ships are not profitable (at HAL prices). Thanks. I understand your thinking. Midsize ship? Doubtful. A cruise with no ports and all sea days: please be sure to e-mail me the itinerary, ship, date, etc.
