Agree, I'd rather do Repo on Radiance Class but did enjoy few longer Cruises on Voyager Class ships. Good Luck!

That's a smart move for them for hurricane / rainy season...short party cruises (read: $$$ for them), but close enough to home port to get back safely if a storm comes.

I'm sticking with the Allure Fall TA next year.  We love the Voyager class (especially 7388 and 7688).  Allure will be our first Oasis class and we were heartily disappointed that the TA was canceled last year, so definitely looking forward to next year.

I'm not sure whether I will do the 2022 Allure TA or not.  I was also on the cancelled 2020 fall TA.  I currently have Sept 2022 Voyager Arctic crossing booked (L&S from 2021 Jewel), so I may not want to do another 14 night TA a little over a month later.  Plus, I may L&S my Oct 2021 Anthem TA (which was a L&S from 2020 Allure fall TA) to Oct 2022.  It would be nice if I could L&S the Anthem 2021 TA back to Allure for 2022.  🙂

@firefly333Liberty is leaving Galveston in the fall of 2022.  We'll find out for sure next week but I'm guessing that the new terminal will be done and you will be able to sail Allure

They used to allow smoking on one side of the pool deck, and at the bar above the pool deck. Also in the casino.

Correct, outdoor pool Starboard side by windows. Casino also used even when closed while in Port...

Nothing against liberty but I would like a ship to switch back and forth with. Dont want liberty gone, just another choice. 

 

April 1st will be here before we know it and we will see if rcl jumps in on terminal 3 in Galveston.

Idk rcl says they want to compete with ccl. Ccl says Galveston is one of it's most profitable ports. Ccl has dream 6 and 8 days. Dream class fairly new. It also has vista one of its newest largest classes doing 7 days. 

 

Allure is larger than liberty and supposed to be more competitive for the market. 

 

Carnival also has tried longer and more varied itineraries. I see a 14 day partial Panama on ccl in late 2022 back. 

 

So far it's a big carnival profit center, john healds words, not mine. And why Galveston gets some of ccl newest and biggest ships. We will see if rcl does make inroads.

Just did a quickie price comparison. It's cheaper to fly to Rome and do Brilliance then it is to drive to NJ and do Adventure. Yikes.

I agree, I wouldn't book them if stopping at KW is a major factor.

Here’s the thing about Key West.  Even if the state manages to overturn the prohibition on cruise ships, why would I want to visit a port where the residents didn’t want me there ?  I don’t get it.

Because once you are on land they don’t care who you are or where you came from, they’ll gladly accept your money.
