The forging of vaccine cards will be a big market. The negative test results I received when tested for covid to travel last year could have been easily forged. I think the sad reality is there will be people on the cruise that have forged their documents. And to think, we were concerned about bogus "Service Dog" tags and vests. Remains to be seen if they will accept the CDC card as proof. We have 2 separate proofs of vax accessible online. The provider and the state of NC, but every facility and state will be different. grandgeezer Posted March 19, 2021 #79 Share Posted March 19, 2021 What does this say about Celebrity's confidence that some sort of cruising will be allowed in the U.S. in June? Why go through the extra work, cost, and planning otherwise?

The buffet was open. They had servers behind each station serving the food. This was great, as I don't generally eat at a buffet because of the people that don't have any manners or care about germs. 1

It is unclear whether they will require masks indoors. Carefully worded, the release says it will follow guidelines from the HSP, but not which ones. It does not specifically say which mask requirements will be included. Nonetheless, this is thrilling news, IMHO. They were part of the agreements with the destinations. Masks on board make sense and it’s not the end of the world to wear them. We have already done a cruise under very similar guidelines and didn’t mind at all. 6

After many years of cruising we now prefer the buffets. Having them be staff served makes no difference to us. This is how they would operate the buffets if/when there is ever an out break of the Noro Virus onboard.

Does that mean 2x for flights as well as stateroom? I also have a flight voucher to use so not sure how that would work. Also add in the cost of coming back to Canada. Mandatory 3 nights minimum in designated hotel room @ $2000 = cost of one-week cruise! I’m thrilled to see the ships going back out and hope the trend continues, including restrictions being lifted for vaccinated Canadians to leave the country and able to re-enter without the big price tag (ie., able to quarantine at home without the hotel bus stop). As far as Moderna it's two weeks after the 2nd dose that gives the 90-95% effectiveness. However with the variants and science still evolving on this time will tell. No word on testing if a negative test is still required to return to your home country. To fly back to states you have to have a test we flew out of country twice last year and none needed BUT we are going out in April and have to get one to come back home On January 12, 2021, CDC announced an Order requiring all air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight depart

It’s pretty easy... and just as mentioned in the guidelines. As long as you walk around, passing other people etc., masks are worn. As soon as you are seated or lying on your chair - distanced from others = masks can be taken off. Simple, reasonable and easy to do...

You might want to do a bit of research on that. The UK adopted the delayed second dose with considerable success, and more and more of the medical community see the advantage of having more people getting first doses rather than fewer people with both doses. Of course, if unlimited vaccine and personnel to administer it were available, following the 28/35 day gap makes sense, but I know of no jurisdiction with unlimited resources.
