Rare A&L_Ont Posted April 8, 2021 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2021 Virgin is sending their ship to UK for sailings starting in August. Doesn’t seem like a July start up for US departures is in the future, at least in their eyes. http://crew-center.com/virgin-voyages-start-uk-summer-cruises-scarlet-lady?fbclid=IwAR1T-uNklBMRbV-OrC6kBkVVNw0TfjTrBqIjeMgp8Z8E8Xm2ER43_pUHtXQ

Ken at the beach Posted April 8, 2021 Author #6 Share Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) Lift and shift offer is +/- 2 weeks, same embarkation port, same length of cruise and same cabin category. On or before April 22, 2021, move to a qualifying 2022 sailing on the same itinerary, sailing length, embarkation port, stateroom category and departing within 2-weeks of the original sail date and your client's cruise fare/promotion is protected. Would it make sense to cancel all sailings for six months forward if there’s a chance to possibly sail in one or two months?? Scoobydobe7 Posted April 8, 2021 #11 Share Posted April 8, 2021 Is that +-2 weeks the same for a 6/8 nighter??..so not to be confusing...I would only have the option of choosing 1 cruise before or after 6 or 8 night sailing) vs 2 before or after for a standard 7 nighter?? Jimbo Posted April 8, 2021 #12 Share Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) Would save alot of time and money canceling 3 months at a time. Holding up alot of customer's money in which they can make other plans with their vaction time and $$$. I think once they do get the all clear to presume cruising again, it will take another 90 days or more to get going anyway. Royal made the decision to hold onto deposits as long as they can. Royal could have cancelled June Cruises months ago knowing the situation both in regard to COVID and regulations. It has simply been a money grab to preserve cash.

I would love to read her filing and see under which statutes she claims the no-sail order is unlawful.
