If not, which ones of the above do they have available? (I left the Mt. Dew line up off, since that has already been discussed. 🙂) Thanks! Sierra mist is there but I couldn't tell you which one. Pepsi, diet pepsi and Pepsi Max I think. I try and avoid pepsi but my memory is pointing to this

I just think it's superior and doesn't have that aftertaste Pepsi has. I think partly why I prefer coke is that I was bought up with it. When I was a child and allowed a fizzy drink, it would be coke rather than Pepsi. So you get kinda of used to it. It's like home cooking. Love that response. I’ve always said, “I’ll have water.” When asked what I want to drink, my response is “do you have Coke or Pepsi?” I don’t get asked if Pepsi is okay. Yes, I go without. On the Encore, I expect to make an Arnold Palmer to get my caffeine. I’ll miss the carbonation and phosphoric acid which help clear the palate. And look for a Coke on our port days to consume before reboarding.

As I do not want a Pepsi instead of Coke, I also do not want my Coke to taste like any of the other flavors that have come out of the Freestyle Machine. It was a lovely idea, but doesn’t work for me. I avoid restaurants with them, get the food to go, or just drink water. I’d rather pay the bartender $2 for a can than get unlimited Freestyle Coke on Royal Caribbean (or bad fountain Coke on Princess).
alohayall Posted August 1, 2021 #113 Share Posted August 1, 2021 (edited) Despite my preference, I am happy that Pepsi fans actually get what they want. I just wish soft drink contracts weren’t exclusive. Last year, Sam’s Club offered both at their self-serve machines. The banner read - “Now It’s Your Choice.” A few months later, they switched to Pepsi. Saves me from drinking those 32 oz cups of Coke. PelicanBill Posted August 3, 2021 #115 Share Posted August 3, 2021 Yes get machines, more choices, and more zero-calorie drinks please. I wish for coke but have to search for it in ports. As for water... the same palate that can taste a big difference between coke and pepsi also finds ship water to be disgusting. And a ransom must be paid to buy bottled water which I must ration to 1 or 2 bottles per person per day. sigh.
Snowrose Posted August 3, 2021 #116 Share Posted August 3, 2021 If you're wanting diet cherry Pepsi a good substitute would be diet Pepsi and a teaspoon of grenadine. Only 18 calories.

You could try crystal lite or Mio, though it won't be carbonated, or some of the sodastream flavors intended to be carbonated which might more closely match coke brands.

It's something like 34mg per can vs. 46mg.... something like that. It's a very bad name for a product because many people think it has no caffeine. The "zero" refers to no sugar and no calories. The only Pepsi product that you can find in some locations on NCL (and usually in cans in limited quantities) is what used to be called Diet Sierra Mist, but what is now called Sierra Mist Free. A lemon lime soda with no caffeine and no calories. But again, it's not in every venue on board and it's not well stocked in the places that carry it. Sierra Mist (Diet) A lemon lime soda with no caffeine and no calories. In other words a substitute for 7UP - Coke equivalent Sprite {diet or sugared} The difference is the type of sugar used in making the non-diet drinks Sugar or Corn Syrup (Pepsi uses CS - therein the after taste) The diet drinks are using an artificial faux chemical enhanced sweetener - talk about discerning tastes - taste something made with sugar after drinking a diet beverage and BLAAAA your taste buds have been sabotaged gone flat
