I’m cruising in October. I’m unvaccinated. I’m staying that way. Can’t wait to breath on all of you vaccinated paranoids.

I’ll be the one with the “Dr. Evil” name tag.

Is Princess going vaccinated or unvaccinated.

For now, vaccinated.   So far , they’re starting cruises to only Alaska for July 25-Sept 25 round trip out of Seattle. 98% crew vaccination and 95% passengers vaccination.

Actually, the 7 day average is the most accurate way to look at current infection rates. I understand cases are going down significantly nationwide.  Florida just hit 40% for fully vaccinated while most states in the Northeast and out west are far outnumbering us in vaccination uptake. My guess is we never top 50% for fully vaccinated, if we even get that high.  As I said, nothing to brag about.

Oh please, as listed above one lowest in Nation for Deaths, Florida's cases lowest over a yr Florida is doing fine. US was never going get to 70-75%. With 40% those UnVax having Natural Immunity along with the numbers Vaccinated we will be at Herd Immunity soon. Like 6 US  Pandemics in last 100 yrs this ones starting burn out too. Not one of them had a Vaccine to help either

Consider this.......  What better business plan to keep maximum cash coming in than you have one line vaccinated only(Celebrity) and the other not.(Royal) and you own both of them!  Brilliant!

And you can change these whenever you please!

Not for sure but this current for Celebrity Kids: "All guests ages 16 years and older must be fully vaccinated with all Covid-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. As of August 1, 2021, all US Guests age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated. For UK residents, all guests 18 and over must be fully vaccinated with all Covid-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. Crew members onboard will be vaccinated.

Can the numbers reported in Florida be trusted? I  recall people getting fired for refusing to report false information.

Still confused what was meaning post, "Well I guess Desantis got what he wanted. Florida has reached a new low"

I think you get my point RCCL is playing this like a Pro.

I have two take always from this

1 how many un vaccinated guests booked to sail realize that the cdc have stated that unvaccinated guests returning from a cruise need to quarantine for 7 days after the cruise with a negative test or quarantine for 10 days after if they do not wish to test

and

2 if cruise lines start sailing to islands and their Covid rates start increasing sharply and implement a rule whereby only vaccinated passengers can get off in port how the cruise lines will  enforce that. It doesn’t matter what the governors here state if the ports being visited want to impose restrictions.

Florida really is like Covid doesn’t exist. We went to a casino last week. Gone were the temperature checks on entry, the partitions between patrons and less than 1% of people were wearing masks.

whilst we are fully vaccinated I have absolutely no belief that only 1% of people going to a casino are fully vaccinated given the overall vaccination rate in the area, and yes if you are not vaccinated you are supposed to wear a mask inside.

He apparently was not vaccinated

Apparently, why  just apparently? The golfer lives in Scottsdale AZ. One of the sports stations ran a detailed recap of the whole situation on the news tonight. He was contacted Monday because of contact tracing, he must have been in contact with someone who tested positive. He was tested Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and they were all negative. He tested positive Saturday morning and they ran a second one Saturday and that was also positive. By the time they got the results he was on the last hole so they let him finish it before approaching. There was no mention of was he vaccinated or not. They did say he was young, 26 years old, with no preexisting conditions so he probably will be ok, physically. Mentally might be different, he lost out on winning $1,670,000 in the tournament as he was six strokes ahead with one round to play. It could have been a lot worse, he could have missed out on taking a cruise.

Hum. What about Pinnacle and Suite cards?  They have a different color than the regular cards.

Yes we could color their cards red and it would match the scarlet letter they wear on their clothing.  This turning out perfect.

We must be able too draw distinctions between the Alphas and the Epsilons.

No seriously, is Celeb allowing UnVax Kids? My Daughter is trying Rebook for her 11yr old Daughter and Husband. We all had a July Cruise on Royal that was Canceled and they have FCC to use. She and Husband Fully Vax but probably be while before my Grand Daughter can get shots.

Per the CDC:

Fully Vaccinated Travelers

  • Cruise ship operators, at their discretion, may advise passengers and crew that—if they are fully vaccinated—they may gather or conduct activities outdoors, including engaging in extended meal service or beverage consumption, without wearing a mask.
  • Cruise ship operators, at their discretion, may advise crew who are fully vaccinated that they do not have to wear a mask or maintain physical distance in areas of the ship that are inaccessible to passengers.
  • Cruise ship operators, at their discretion, may designate areas as only accessible to fully vaccinated passengers and crew where masks and physical distancing are not required (e.g., casinos; bars; spas; entertainment venues; and dining areas, including self-serve buffets).
  • For ships with at least 95% of crew and 95% of passengers fully vaccinated, cruise ship operators, at their discretion, may advise passengers and crew that they do not have to wear a mask or maintain physical distance in any areas.                                                                                                                                                                                  Jonathan

This tells us what fully vaccinated cruises can do.  This says nothing about mixed vax and unvax cruises.

Not sure about the US and kids but x cruise out of St Martin that sailed saturday allowed at least one 5 year old kid I know of who is on that ship right now with her parents

I think rccl is selling both lines vaxxed and unvaxxed for the SALES!  I wouldn't touch either with a ten foot pole until more develops.  I am not joining all these pissed off people who thought they bought something and then it changed.  Cruise Lines are great at selling. I have no idea what I am buying and really nobody does.  Jmo

I think you may have some fuzzy math here.  Royal said that over 90 percent of their passengers would be vaccinated and I’ll suggest that much of the remaining 10% are children.   That reduces the number of new potential passengers to only a couple percent at best.  This is a very small potential gain for a huge risk.

Much closer to really dumb than brilliant.

If you are vaccinated you dont have any worries. Can we please get by this. I work in health care as a career. Get your information from credible sources. What I stated is fact. Not 1 documented case of a person who is vaccinated dying from covid. Please, dont listen to the tabloid news. Search out true science. You cant live your life in fear. Far greater risks in life that you take daily without thinking about it.

I would expect someone working in healthcare to not spread misinformation:

https://ktla.com/news/local-news/12-fully-vaccinated-people-died-of-covid-in-l-a-county-showing-shots-work-extraordinarily-well-health-officials-say/

https://napavalleyregister.com/news/local/napa-county-confirms-first-death-of-a-fully-vaccinated-covid-patient/article_9626da8f-c96a-569e-b120-af2c35848293.html

There's true science right there for you. The more people who are unvaccinated from COVID-19 and who unfortunately may catch it (at greater rates than fully vaccinated), the more likely we are to see more contagious and more deadly variants that the vaccines may not provide full protection for.

Agreed, people should not live their life in fear. Don't fear getting the vaccine.
