It’s going to happen so what is the obsession to keep reporting….

No obsession, just reporting that NA is back to Orange after having been Green for one day. In no way do I feel that takes away from the wonderful experience that passengers are being provided.

All the Best!

and your motive is? To spread gloom and doom? Respectively I just don’t understand the need for the continual postal reporting. Is there a reason?

Pleased for your right to continue on posting but just wondering why? Best to you.

The reason is some of us who have not yet returned to cruising are interested in the details of how this first season is going. Since details can get muddy over time, I like to post in real time for the record to look back on, to see the progress. It would appear being Orange or Yellow hasn’t affected the quality of Nieuw Amsterdam’s sailings, and personally that is comforting to know.

Rather than be a discouragement, I actually feel more confident when some other lines have been transparent, as it’s nice to see effective protocols working. When the season began, some were holding their breath, hoping there wouldn’t be mass cancellations or any situations like we saw in 2020. I think HAL has done well and sense from reading reviews and reports, that passengers have been quite pleased with their cruises, for the most part.

Yellow constitutes a new crew member has come aboard tested or received vac is quarantined. It also includes people with other symptoms while there being observed. Flu, gastro etc.

Today all of us guest were tested for Covid Antigen. The Hotel Director told me all guest tested negative.
