We could upgrade for about $270 total  from Royal Adventure of the Seas J4 to a Grand Suite.  You get some lounge perks with the GS, but we are Diamond so think we get those perks from our loyalty status.  However, I know some the lounge situation have changed so wanted current information as to what we might expect.  Thanks!

i just got this email yesterday for our sailing in a RS. Your benefits should be similar for a GS. So it looks like lots of the benefits are still going strong.  For $270 it is a slam dunk

  • The Suite  Lounge is for the exclusive benefit of our Suite guests, accessible with your platinum Sea Pass card.
  • Make sure to pack a smart casual outfit, as that’s our dress code in the lounge at all times.
  • In the Lounge, coffee and tea are available throughout the day.  Each evening, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, hors d'oeuvres, petit fours and complimentary wine, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are available for our Suite guests
  • Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • As a Suite guest, you may enjoy an exclusive breakfast in Chop's Grille, from 7:30am until 9:00am
  • Your suite is supplied with Malin & Goetz bath amenities, a Lavazza espresso coffee machine, bathrobes for your use onboard, and is furnished with a luxurious pillow-top mattress.
  • Enjoy the Suite Sun, Deck 12 (Open area, Port side)  Suite guests on a first come, first served basis (limited spaces).
  • Suite guests receive priority access to seating in venues up to 45 minutes prior to shows to select their seats (all other guests can enter 30 min prior up until show time). Show reservations are required and  available once you arrive onboard, also in the Royal App.
  • To organize your Priority Departure, please meet with me to discuss details once onboard.

Love grand suites we almost always sail in them, have sailed in that class several times in GS , huge bathroom with double sinks , reserved seats for shows like ice show no waiting in line , concierge to walk you off ship etc . May have DVD player.

Which GS or OS and which ships have DVD players?
