Carnival Dream a nightmare?

I cruised on the Dream in October 2019. The ship was in bad shape overall, worn out, shabby, not the service we usually get on other Carnival ships. The cabins didn't even have USB outlets! I have heard the ship was refurbished recently but everything I can find says it was refurbished in 2017. Would those who have sailed on it recently tell me if things have improved? We have a cruise on it scheduled early next year. Got a really good Thanks for any information!

You went on the ship and did not enjoy the experience but you have booked another cruise on her?????Guess we will be hearing your complaints again, when you get back.

We sailed on The Dream about 2016 and was one of our favorite cruises.

When I was on the Dream in 2018 they were installing lamps that had USB outlets but they weren’t doing them all at once. As the lamps needed replacing, they were getting the USB lamps. Neither of my cabins had them but I would think they would by now.

Having sailed Magic and Breeze, I am looking forward to completing my Dream class collection of cruises.  I am a fan of the Joe Farcus touch, so this should be good.  I will however surely miss the Red Frog Pub.

Yes that's the biggest problem with Dream right there. No pub. So everyone that wants to watch sports has to do so in the casino bar...and during football season....it'll clog up the walkway.

Boarding the Dream next month 🤞. So thankful to cruise again.
I’m hoping someone will review the Dream soon.
We loved the Breeze so hopefully we’ll love her as well.
We are getting a bit dismayed with all the food downgrades.
But noticed the food issue before Covid shutdown.
Don’t fry me alive, but if they stick with this ‘Walmart’ looking buffet (I did see it!) we may move on.
It might be time….  I’ve never given any bit of our Carnival experiences that label before.

Disappointed…it seems they’ve gone there.

What you need to remember is that ships are sailing at roughly 50%.  DO NOT expect 2019.  And if some other line catches your interest..... go for it.

I know the ships aren’t selling at full capacity. What I’m saying is this downgrade started before Covid.
Yes, 2019. It was awful. Hell, I hope it’s not worse. We enjoyed NCL and RCar. Plenty of others out there.
Not a problem whatsoever. Time will tell. I’d prefer Carnival hear their passengers and stop going that route.

I was on Dream a couple of years ago, had a great time.  I saw nothing whatsoever that detracted from my trip.  OK, so we didn't have USB chargers in the room, we survived.  There are plenty of USB charging ports on the market that can plug into the 230 Volt outlet .... problem solved.

Heck, my biggest issue on Dream was figuring out how to get from the rear to the front of the ship on certain decks..... but that's half the fun.

I was on there about the same time and that was also my only problem
